We've spent a wonderful time in Mihaela and Vassil's place, enjoying their nice company and care. All that, of course, with the wonderful scenery around us.
We were three small families, in early spring - the entire house was so clean and cozy.
Will definitely go there again soon!

Rhodope mountains tranquility and hospitality together

Mihaela's house is a wonderful place to stay and enjoy the spirit of Rhodope mountains (delicious food and amazing nature)! 
We have done so many things in just a few days - hiking, biking, kayaking and gourmet! We were so lucky to see the European cat snake up in Yumruk skala protected area, which is one of the rear type of snakes that you can see in Bulgaria. Another  exciting moment  for us up there was to stay just a few meters away from Griffon vulture and to watch them enjoying their sunset flight over the Studen Kladenets lake. Mihaelas house is located very close and exactly on the hiking trail, so we' were able to get home right before darkness.  Spatial delicious diner was waiting us on the table 😊! We spent such a great time!

Wonderful place to stay and enjoy the spirit of Rhodope mountains

Mihaela Lake Retreat is offering a truly unique holiday. The accommodation works like a guest house where you are looked after by the host and spoilt with fresh home made  food at breakfast. Its a combination of self-catering and sharing the space with few other guests and the hosts themselves. The place is clean, the beds are comfy and the shower is very good. This is the place where you can retreat from the hassle of life if you seek peace and solitude. However, you can also make friends with the other guests who most likely turn out to be like-minded travellers. Moreover, its the philosophy of the hosts and the whole place which makes it so unique. You can enjoy sustainable tourism; Mihaela also offers kayaks and bikes for rent and you can if you like take a guided tour round the lake or the mountains. Mihaela is always around for travel tips and support if you chose her advice.  The place is ideally suited to explore the Eastern Rhodope mountains, lake and archaeological sites.

Really pleasant and clean rooms. Breakfast is good and diversified ( as you can see from the pictures from their profile)Welcoming, helpful and generous hosts full of local knowledge and they definitely go the extra mile.Highly recommend visiting it!

Unique place and unique people. I highly recommend visiting it!

Very beautiful place, grand View. Cozy house, filled with books, WiFi and TV set. Big kitchen. Nice two stories and a balcony. There is a local shop in the village where you can buy food and provisions. Warm nature.  I recommend!

Beautiful place

The hosts are very welcomming, you can feel the friendly attitude and support. They will tell you all abour the surroundings, recommend you a trip or lead you to an interesting place or a breahtaking view! You can go kayaking, make mountain tours or birds watching. And taste delicious food, home made cookies and yoghurt :)
