Happy with our stay at this Pousada. We arrived with no booking in the pouring rain and the owners gave us a room, nothing was too much trouble. All staff are friendly and happy. Free breakfast which was basic but nice. Room had everything we needed and nice view, and good price

We stayed for one night, wished it had been longer! Perfect location, only a block or two into the old town and a block or two away from the bus station. We had no problem walking everywhere from this hotel. There is coffee and cake in the afternoon in addition to a wide variety of food at breakfast. We had booked a standard room but were graciously upgraded to a room with a balcony overlooking the street as the hotel was not that busy. The owner was very kind and helpful, this place is an excellent deal in Paraty.

Perfect location in Paraty

We stayed at Talisma for 4 nights as a layover between São Paulo and Rio. The pousada is a perfect 10! Super clean, great breakfast, air conditioning and mini- fridge in the room, and perfect location. Considering the high prices of Paraty, Talisma was the best price option, but it offers so much more than just a great deal.

The women who operate the pousada are like sweet aunties, and really make you feel at home. The breakfast buffet is simply phenomenal. Homemade yogurt, a variety of breads, local fruits, cheeses, and freshly squeezed juices. In the afternoons, they put out coffee and leftover sweet breads from breakfast. Amazing! 

The location is also awesome because it's right between the charming historic area and the more affordable city centre. A close walk to the bus station, grocery store, and beaches, yet our room was still very quiet and peaceful. 


Must stay!

Pousada Talisma is the best option in Paraty. The owner is a wonderful woman, who takes personal interest in your happiness, and who employs a friendly staff who make amazing bolos caseiros. It is located perfectly less than one block from the entrance of the old town, and one block from the rodoviária on a beautiful quite street. The breakfast spread is enough to make someone keep coming back, and that is just what I do. The rooms are remodeled, with hot showers and very comfortable beds. If you are interested in doing a tour, booking directly through the pousada got my friend and I not only the nicest, least crowded boat, but also the best price. You really can't go wrong staying at Pousada Talismã.

Wonderful pousada, best breakfast in Paraty!

We really enjoyed our stay at pousada talisma. The proprietor and staff were so hospitable, we loved the special touch of having coffee and homemade cakes in the afternoon while taking in the gorgeous surrounding views. The pousada is comfortable, clean and our room had air conditioning and a small fridge which we found very useful. The pousada is very close to the bus station however if you have suitcases with wheels, I'd suggest taking a taxi. The cobblestone roads don't make for a smooth trek :-) 


Only one regret: should have stayed longer!

This pousada is a very short walk from the Center. If you want to be in the middle of all the action, or close to the beach, this is not it. However, it was close to the bus stop as well. 

The pousadas close to the beach aren't worth it, since the beach itself has too many sea shells and the better beaches are a 1-3 hour bus ride away.

The staff is great, very helpful and easy to talk to! The place is very homely and has some very quirky elements, which I loved!

The breakfast is quite good and they will make scrambled eggs etc. if you ask them too. :)
