The place is not easy to find, located on one of Sarajevos hills in a dead end street. Parking space is available. The appartment has a small kitchen, a living room (with a not workng tv) and two bedrooms. You share a bathroom that does not have a sink. Everything looked used but was very clean (including sheets and towels and the bathroom). You can only lock the front door, not the bedroom doors. Downtown is 15-20min walk or a cheap five minute cab ride away.

If you are the adventures type of traveler and travelling on a budget this the place to stay. Best value for your money. If you are not comfortable staying in a back street with just locals around you this is definately not your place.

The place gets three stars because of the owner who was super friendly and helpful. Speaks decent enough english and was a cool guy.

For the adventurers: you get what you pay for

Firstly to get to the apartment you need to climb a bit(about 1 km) however the price is so cheap that you may not mind the hill. Owner knows several languages which may make things easier but i can say his english is not good at all.

Not too bad

I am sceptical about giving a 1-star rating, but you have to draw the line somewhere. The apartment is a 1,5 km uphill walk, which is okay for the price. The owner speaks reasonable english, but was very chaotic. Due to damaged peoperty by a previous guest we got moved to a room closer to the city center. We accepted our 3 night stay and it was pure goodwill by the owner.

However, the last night we had to move back to our originally booked apartment, because some other guests had to move in. Our sheets and pillows were taken, put in the trunk of the car, and used to make up our bed in the uphill room. This is just something you shouldn't do!

The room was okay for the price. There was a bit of dust, but we were fine with it. BUT... The bathroom could not be locked,  and there is no sink!! Where to brush the teeth?? Additionally, the host is doing the laundry in the property as well. And the front door cannot be locked (but your bedroom can be locked). We didnt have the feeling of privacy. He rents a room but at the same time lives in the house, using the toilets and facilities as well.

I would not recommend a stay here, unless you are really on a budget and saving money is more important than a pleasant stay.
