My friend and I stayed for three nights. When we arrived Sony asked what type of room we would like (a/c or fan) and which floor (he had limited rooms as they were pretty full). He was very accommodating with us as we looked at a couple of different rooms. The rooms are very simple. They provided a towel and a bar of soap, plan on bringing own wash cloth, shampoo/conditioner (it's this way for all hostels/bunkhouses in Belize). The mattresses were good, the pillows were just ok-kind of lumpy. There was no dresser or place to hang clothes so had to stack on the one chair or just keep putting back in the suit case, which works. However, I must say after I mentioned it to him upon our departure, he said we should have said something and he would have gotten a rod for us to hang our clothes (I'm sure he would have done the same for the pillows). There is a kitchen that can be used on third floor. Plenty of seating areas to enjoy the breezes and views of the city. I watched the full moon from the roof top which was pretty cool! The Acropolis is located very near downtown, but far enough away to not hear the loud music all night long. The best part was how accommodating Sony was. He even ran and got us a few beers upon our arrival (which we paid for)! Super nice person. I recommend and would stay here again.

Very reasonable and comfortable place to stay

We stayed during low season and received a very good value for our two nights stay. Welcoming staff with good recommendations about town and adventures. Also provided us with any assistance/inquiries in regards to traveling further to Guatemala. Would definitely stay again.

Also to recommend is to organize the crystal cave through Rudy Diaz, local travel agent and friend of the place. The cave is for the more adventurous people and definitely a must do when traveling through  San Ignacio!

Very Good Value

I booked a dorm and got a single room, which was very nice. The wifi is good and there is free water at the hostel. It's only located a few minutes walk away from the center. The mattresses have been a bit worn out but everything else was fine.

Great value for the money

Our host Sony was a wonderful help.  He was accomodating and hard working.  This was a perfect spot for us.  We are budget travelers.  We appreciated the clean rooms, A/C, and having wi-fi available.  It was also nice to have a refrigerator available and kitchen to share.  I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is used to traveling in foreign countries.  It was perfect for us.

Wonderful affordable quaint place

Six of us stayed in two rooms, for a total of US$80. For the price much better accommodations are available in San Ignacio. While the sheets on the beds were clean, nothing else was. It was very cramped and everything was in very run-down condition.
