Rooms are not big but there is everything a traveller would need for a night or two. I was lucky to get the room with the old church view and there was even a window in my bathroom which I really appreciate! 
I was on a business trip and upon my request the administrator kindly gave me the iron (though this request was not really typical for them I suppose) and ordered a taxi for the morning.
Breakfast was fine and tasty!
Though I think it is the only hotel in the city I still would recomend it to the travellers as a good one!

Nice family hotel

We had to find a hotel for the night in Lokeren on our trip through Europe, and chose La Barakka. We were tired after driving for many hours, but soon found out we should have chosen another place to stay. The room was dark an from the window you looked straight into a brick wall, about one meter away. After a quick meal at a nearby restaurant, we went to bed only to discover that there was a low pitched, humming noise in the room we were staying. We could also hear it in the corridor, so I suppose you could hear it in the other rooms too. The noise stopped for a couple of minutes every hour, and woke you up again when you finally managed to sleep. There were no information leaflet at all in the room and no number to reseption. After a while I walked to the reseption to get another room, but the reseption was closed and nobody answered when I banged on the door. The only thing to do was to go back an try to sleep. In the morning we discovered that there were no towels, but luckily now there were a man in the reseption who went to find some towels, murmuring that "the girl must have forgotten". The breakfast was not very impressing either, and the price, with breakfast for two was 120 Euro a night. No wonder the only other guest were four Italian guys, who I suppose will not be back either. This might well be our worst hotel experience ever.

Say away. Overpriced, noisy and dark room, no towels and nobody present during the night.

...  but I'm sorry to say that the high price, the poor breakfast and the cold room leaves me no other choice other than to say....avoid.

It seems to be the only place in town so perhaps, like me, you have to stay here because you did not want to travel on. 

But my advice, dear traveller is, keep going to the next town!

I really wanted to like this place...

My room was small and I was woken by the sound of a mosquito. In the morning I discovered that I had been badly bitten. The breakfast is basic. The décor is in need of an update as it is dated and tatty. I arrived late and was told off for this upon check-out in a non too friendly way. I used to stay in this hotel ten years ago and I do not believe that it has been updated since. Very handy for the town centre and the station.

Basic hotel and not very friendly

This hotel is ideally located in the centre of town, right in the market square. I only had one night here , but it was ok. The hotel is a little tired, and a bit dated. My room was large and comfortable, but a bit dusty. But all this being said. The hotel is also charming, the staff are friendly. And the food in the restaurant was first class. I would definitely stay here again.
