We stopped at the Hotel Wildkogel after struggling to find anywhere open to eat arriving in Austria on a public holiday. The sign said open and there were people eating inside, unfortunately it was a soup and drink buffet available to guests only. However we spoke to a guest who found a member of staff who was happy to provide us with soup and coffee even though we were not staying at the hotel.

Great Hospitality

We stayed there with children for two nights. The hotel is nice, clean, although very basic. There was no refrigerator in the room. Beds were not comfortable and  I got a severe back pain afterwards. Although we made reservation through booking.com and provided the credit card details, when we arrived at place, we revealed that the hotel is cash only. So on the next day we had to look for a bank in the neighboring village to be able to pay at the end. Hotel staff is very nice and helpful, but not so much organized.
We found out that this hotel  has an option for all inclusive stay. If you come for several days, it makes sense to take it as there are no many options for restaurants all around this area. although this is touristic place, but the level of food and service is very low, and also all the bistros and restaurants are pretty expensive in that area.
The big advantage of this hotel is location. It is just in front of train station, literally!

Clean and nicely situated hotel

Visited here for Tridays 2016 (a short ride to Neukirchen).

What a lovely find. Our room was in a log-cabin style annexe with a good shower room, small wardrobe cupboard and comfortable bed.  TV in the room, wifi in the restaurant area.  There was a childrens play area and right behind us, a Request Stop for the local train!  

There was ONE downside - for some reason there were a LOT of flies in the room; so much so we spent hours one night trying to kill them/get rid of them and even thought of going out and buying a fly killer tape.

However....it did not spoil our stay too much.  With private parking for the three motorbikes, the bar/restaurant which served coffees and lunches, we were well taken care of.  

We would like to especially mention Laszlo.  He worked his socks off.  He was welcoming, helpful, friendly, professional and seemed to be doing absolutely everything!  We would certainly employ him in our own business!  He was the person that made the stay special and memorable - all credit to him.

We had both breakfasts and evening meals here and the food was delicious.

On top of all this, the price was excellent.

A very pretty place, highly recommended - especially if Laszlo is still there!

We did take advantage of the little train (timetables at the stop) and went to Zell am See - beautiful lakeside town with plenty for the tourists to see.  Well worth the trip.

Fabulous little find with wonderful staff

We have been in this hotel in summer, the accomodation was in a new separate building. The staff was very cozy and the location quite and amazing. The room was very clean at our arrival, even if it has not been cleaned after first night.
They proposed the solution with breakfast and dinner at +15€ for person/day, we found it very convenient.
The only small displeasure was in breakfast: mainly only continental with no sweets, expect than for jam.


Cozy, clean and cheap!

A hotel to spend your time at , with freindly staff, provides five star services in a place , which you can call heaven on earth. 
Spent christmas night there. 
Highly recommended.
