What a friendly, clean lodge! Reception staff helpful and cleaners exceptional. Two rooms adjacent to each other with balcony, triple beds, shower room and simple but useful kitchen area. Ample tea and coffee making facilities and the usual amenities available including toiletries and ironing board etc. 
Would recommend it to singles, couples and families. Near some amenities such as pubs, coffee shops and fast food outlets, alongside an on-site restaurant ( not linked with the lodge). A five minute walk to the Swan River over a bridge and close enough to visit Perth, Fremantle and other tourist attractions. Thank you for a great short break. 

Great for a short break!

I would never have thought to stay in Como or the Windsor lodge, they were never in my search area.  Boy am I glad we found them,,,,a friendly greeting, clean, spacious room, hot shower and offer of room service breakfast. Restaurant was closed but we ate at a perfectly lovely Italian place just across the road.

All in all very happy and would stay again

A hidden Gen

This is a lovely quaint motel in a great location. Convenient for hospitals, Zoo, buses. Large rooms, some up a flight of stairs and have a balcony. Ground floor rooms available. Off street parking. Secure rooms. Good choice of cafes in Preston Street or the IGA for great take out meals to have in the room.
Spotlessly clean. Good supply of tea etc. Small kitchinette with microwave, fridge and kettle.
Juniper and Bay restaurant on site does the best breakfast scrambled eggs.
My Wife had to be in South Perth Hospital at 0730 for a procedure (5 minutes drive away) so this was ideal to stay night before and they allowed me to hang on until 11am to check out.
Highly recommended.

Windsor Lodge Como  provides accommodation. It's just over from Como Beach, near Como Jetty. It's close to the city of Perth, the location is good and the accommodation is adequate. It's popular with travellers.

Motel on Como Beach

Been in Perth 8 years and didn't know about this vibrant Preston Street area. With a fantastic hotel. Very comfortable room. Very clean. Good housekeeping. Booked by phone to request balcony room (steps to go up). Greeting was very friendly at reception and nice goodbye on departure. Good check in time at 12 suited us and out by 10 am.  Great location for Perth, Kings Park and South Perth Hospital.
Lots of cafes and restaurants. IGA  5 minutes walk away makes super take outs which suited us as Wife was just out of hospital that day.
Breakfast in Juniper and Ray was really good and inexpensive. Catered for lactose free diet.

What a find!

The Windsor Lodge is in Preston Street, Como. It is separated from the Swan River by the Freeway, but it's a good locattion, in Como -- one of Perth's more desirable suburbs. The rooms are good, albeit with a few rough edges. The rooms come with a microwave oven, TV, air conditioning, fridge and facilities for making tea and coffee. The Lodge has an inground pool, and free  wi-fi. The location is less than 15 minutes from Perth city. It is walking distance to the Cygnet Theatre and the Karalee Tavern. There's also a small shopping centre, which includes an award-winning  IGA supermarket. The Lodge has an associated restaurant, which is fine for breakfast.

Budget motel by the river

Good location, comfortable accomodation with everything you need. The room had a queen and a single bed. Was quiet spacious for the price. Very clean. Kitchenette with microwave, fridge, crockery and cutlery. Parking inside gated property. Restaurant onsite. Right near other restaurants and supermarket. Will return.

Very comfortable accomodation

Kitchen facilities, clean, lovely location good for family holidays..... There for only one night did not do it justice.. However breakfast is at adjoining restaurant and very good.  Location is quiet and plenty of parking . Close to the city and river activities.. Kitchen was well equipped and there was a microwave... Many restaurants nearby within walking distance... Ground Floor rooms have no stairs..

Great Location Suited for Longer Stay....

Just came back from a 4 day business trip and stayed at the Windsor Lodge. Boy Oh Boy am I glad I did. The place was in a very central spot for all my appointments that were North,South, East and West. I think it was around the $140 per night mark. Not sure, work paid. But if I was paying, that's good value.

The place was very clean, relatively quiet and the staff were really accommodating and the pool was always clean. Not only was it central for my appointments, it had everything I needed within a 100 metre distance. Up the top of the hill was an IGA store, a bottle shop, a pub and a service station for filling up the hire car as the Ned Kelly bunch at the Car Hire place charge 3 bucks a litre if you forget to fill up.

I did have a few crook meals during my stay but they were not from the Windsor, you'll have to read my reviews on the Golden Mile Chinese across the road and one on a Pizza Joint nearby called All Night Pizza Cafe. The Windsor did have a restaurant on site that regular guests said was nice but that was closed until 10th Feb. Maybe next trip. 

I'll tell you where I did have a bloody good feed, it was from the Como IGA I mentioned above. They have a section that cooks meats, veggies, pastas and rices and silly me told myself " you only need the $11.50 meal" didn't I. The roast pork meal i got was absolutely magnificent and I wished I had of got the bigger one for $16.50. Dumb and Dumber had more brains. I washed it down with a bottle of Howard Park Margaret River Cab Sav. It was also that bloody good, I should have got 2 of them.

So if your ripping over to Perth for business or pleasure, stay here. I'll be dammed sure I will be when I go back in a few months. Gunna get that $16.50 size, they ain't fooling me again. And 2 Howard Parks.

"Top Central Spot"

Stayed at this very well priced motel to attend a function a few streets away. 
Although a little dated, it had good amenities including double and single bed, a well appointed bathroom and kitchenette. We actually booked over the phone rather than using on line services which gave better options. The reception staff were friendly and efficient. There was good parking. Being in a very quiet location ( no traffic noise) and comfortable bed ensured a good night’s sleep. We had breakfast at the motel although there are several local cafes open for breakfast. Apparently the restaurant is not owned by the same proprietors as the motel. Breakfast was of a very high quality and suited our needs extremely well. Would definitely stay here again and appreciate the recommendation from a friend as it’s their “ go to place” whilst staying in Perth.
