Had a great stay with Sue and Ross. They are wonderful hosts. As what others have reviewed, it is like staying with friends.Arrived with sore throats and Sue plucked fresh lemons everyday to make honey lemon drink for breakfast. In addition, offered peppermint tea. By the end of the stay, my throat recovered. 

Ross was a tour guide and have good knowledge of Swan Valley. Engaged him to drive us around for 2 days. Through him, get to know Swan Valley History. Would never have known Swan Valley has the 2nd oldest winery history more than 100 years. 

I was also very touched with Sue's kind gesture. She did something special for my mum's 87th birthday. She baked a Kiwi cake for her. Something not expected. Well, as she had said, not many 87 year olds came through her place. She only did this for my mum. Thanks, Sue. 



We had the most wonderful time staying at Swan Valley B&B. It's a farm stay that is a mix of farm stay but home comforts of a B&B.  The accommodation caters for couples as well as young families which is the room we took. We had our own little studio apartment which comfortably slept the four of us and one of the nights we didn't feel like eating out we cooked in the old Westinghouse oven which absolutely did the trick. 

The hosts Sue and Farmer Ross are wonderful especially attentive to giving out 7 and 5 year old the best possible time. They had tractor rides with Farmer Ross and got to feed and hold some of the animals. They had a big old horse, 2 al pacas, a few sheep and a ram called Ramsey. They had rabbits, chickens and Guinea pigs also. Their beloved dog Tilly was a gentle beautiful farm dog who loved our left over bacon each morning - although we probably weren't meant to give it to her :) 

All in all we couldn't recommend this more highly for a break away with a touch or what we all need to be reminded life is all about. 

Pity, we stayed only one night with Sue and Ross - they were wonderful hosts and I wish we could have stayed longer, talk and chill out in their beautiful garden. We really would like to come back again with more time. Large kitchen, great to dine outside - nearby supermarket, well located and easy to find.

My friends and I spent only one night at Swan Valley B&B but had thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the place. 

Sue & Ross were really nice and friendly. We enjoyed their hosting and the breakfast food was both delicious and memorable. We had it in their garden, and it was nice to have birds and the smell of roses.

Ross let us drove the tractors, going on feeding rounds, and introduced us to all the different farm animals, getting up close and personal with them. 

Definitely a recommended holiday experience for anyone.

We stayed at the Swan Valley B&B for about 3 days and enjoyed ourselves from the first day.

Our hosts, Sue & Ross, were the nicest, most gracious, people we've ever met. You literally feel like family with them. Sue spoils you with her hospitality and natural motherliness. Ross whips you up the meanest breakfast spread you could have.

Being city-folk, the contrast of the quiet life on a farm was very welcomed. Being able to actually collect your freshly-laid eggs, going on feeding rounds, all contributed to a unique holiday experience for us.

Strongly suggest, you hire a car while you are here as the nearest bus stop is a good 30mins walk. But otherwise, Uber is handy or Ross can drive you (at a very fair rate and if he is available).

We were checked into the Thomas Waters room. Very cozy room, with a comfortable king-sized bed and a sofa bed that was surprisingly comfortable too. They have a selection of DVDs you could borrow to watch either in the lounge or in your room, the kids have loads of space to run around and play. They even have a slide and a swing set.

If Sue's flowers are in bloom, do take the time to admire their beauty. They were lovely.

Be sure to say Hi to Biscuit, Bonny and of course Tilly. They'll be some of the animal friends you will meet there.

In the words of my 6 year-old during our stay there, "Best Holiday Ever!"
