At the beginning we were disapointed because we've been moved from one hotel because of technical problems, but then we really liked the hotel.
The location is great, you have everything near and the rooms are pretty nice and well organized. At the reception the people were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast is good too.

GREAT LOCATION, NICE ROOMS

Did 3 nights landed late on the first night, was now problem, great value, great breakfast, great location too, for the money you can’t beat it. Room was a little small but we only slept there, but can walk to any of the main attractions. Really close to really lively nightlife. Staff were friendly. Clean hotel.

Good value, great location

Pros- friendly staff, generous spread and variety of breakfast. Air con and ceiling fan worked well in room. Couldn’t hear noise from the busy street.
Cons- bathroom did not have shower curtain so the floor got very wet. Slow drainage of water in shower. Tv reception was poor across all channels. (Guest appearance of lizard on the last day which is unavoidable in Asia. )
Overall, wouldn’t recommend or return here.

Well, where do I start... if you love creepy crawlies, damp ridden bed sheets, prison cell rooms, and what looks like blood stained walls, this place is for you.

So me and my fiancé arrive and are very shocked at how different the room looks in terms of quality compared to the photos on trip advisor, we soon realise we’ve been hotel catfished. I knew it wouldn’t be amazing for the cheap price we got it for, we aren’t fussy but for a 3 star we thought it will be absolutely fine for one night, and as long as we get a comfortable night sleep we are happy.

So, we settle down to bed and try and get an early night for our early morning flight, when I start hearing the rustle of the bin bag. I ignore at first and assume it’s the air con, but that poor old box that was on its last legs only managed to blow puffs of ‘air’ out for about 10 seconds every 10 minutes so it definitely wasn’t that. 

I go over to the bin and see some sort of long giant bug, (still have no idea what it was) jump out of the bin and behind the desk, I run off into the bath room in terror to then see a cockroach on the floor in the bathroom, to which I put a glass over, not a problem.

So there’s a bug big enough in our room it should be paying half of the hotel room fee, but never the less we need to sleep, so I grab the bug spray and start to create a barrier around the bed in what I can only describe was like something from Supernatural, except instead of Sam and Dean Winchester creating a salt barrier to repel the demons, I was using bug spray to repel whatever the hell that thing was that crawled behind the desk.

After an awful nights sleep of hearing said bug taunt us all night with it’s weird buggy noises, we woke up early and I counted the bugs in the room. One in the bed, one in the bath, one on the bathroom floor under a glass, and the big scary one somewhere still to this day living behind that desk/tv area. Avoid room 102. It’s his room now. In fact, just avoid this hotel. 

Thanks Dragon Palace 3 for putting a roof over our heads, but your 3 star rating is a too generous, and we will not be recommending you to anyone. 

Avoid this place - big review sorry!

We booked 2 family rooms at this place for 2 nights. The rooms are adequate in size with complete basic amenities (toiletries, hair dryer, etc.). However, beware of the use of shower and sink as the water tends to be very hot.

The service is the worst. When we arrived early in the morning (1am-ish), the receptionist mistaken our booking with someone else's and insisted that we booked 5 rooms! Their general attitude is not service or customer-oriented. They are very hostile and unfriendly as if they don't want people to be there. 

If you are young and traveling on a budget and wants a place near the party scene, this hotel might be for you.

Family of 8

Their service is da best as they allowed us to check in earlier, that was around 8am although our check-in time was 2pm. My friends and I were so appreciated as our bus reached hcm in advance. We stayed this hotel for 2 times. Highly recommended! Nice breakfast as well

Graduation trip with friends 

We stay there for 3 nights in 4 rooms. Rooms were small and some of them without windows, smelly and wet. The breakfast was OK and stuff is really helpful. To be honest I could not wait till we go to another city becaise of hotel.

I would not recommend

It is very good hotel in terms of facility with budget, as well as good for the locations. you will get all types of entertainment for tourist. The breakfast is also good to enjoy. The place is for fun and enjoy...i have had 6th Floor Room so it was quite and good to sleep. I will suggest my friends and family to stay here.

Good hotel with excellent location

The best thing about this hotel is location. It is next to the sinh tourist which makes booking tours and buses easy. Also, right next to bui vien street & pham ngu lao street but far enough to not hear the noises around. We were given the room right next to the reception. The bedroom area is big but the toilet is small. The bed is so comfortable. Downside, some nights we could hear people being noisy outside while we were sleeping. Not sure if it’s the staff or other hotel guest. Breakfast is decent. Lovely coffee. 

Good location

Regrettably, Lan Anh Hotel in De Tham Street is no longer operating as a hotel.  It is now a tour agency.

Be careful if you are trying to book Lan Anh Hotel on-line because there are at least two other hotels in HCMC with the same name.   One is totally undesirable and the other is in District 9, a long way from the center of HCMC.
