What was good

The location is very strategic which close to main tourist attraction spots. The room was simple and very comfort. Although some of amenity such as iron is not in the room but the hotel staff assist to provide those needed facility/equipment. The hotel internal hotel area was well taken care. I was at the Pearl Hotel from Sept 4-8, 2024. The hotel staff, especially the receptionist Ms. Hang Trinh and her assistant (a gentleman), were very friendly and very helpful to assist me in getting certain things like universal sockets and halal food near the hotel. On September 7, Typhoon Yagi hit Hanoi and of course I could not go out to get food but the hotel staff helped me order food via online. They also brought me extra snacks, cookies and noodles to my room as most of the restaurants in Hanoi were closed due to Typhoon Yagi. On September 8, I was supposed to catch my flight to Malaysia at 7am, but not a single cab was available in Hanoi on September 7-8. Even Ms. Hang Trinh had tried to call several cab services on September 7 to book a cab, but none of the cab services were available. On September 8, around 4am, Ms. Hang Trinh called my room and told me that it was not possible to get a cab to the airport. Beyond those obstacles, she tried her best to call her friend and ask him to take me to the airport by motorcycle as early as 4.30am. Luckily, I only had a small bag with me. Eventually, I managed to reach the airport safely and check in for the flight. In fact, I do not think it's possible to reach the airport by cab as most of the roads to the airport are blocked by trees. Although The Pearl Hotel is not a five star hotel but the friendliness of the hotel staff exceeds 100 STARS. I can highly recommend this hotel for tourists.
