Very nice lofts with a great view. Good location, well equipped house and friendly staff. A nice place to spend the weekend or holidays in Uruguay. You can enjoy the pool watching the sea, or relax in the jacuzzi. They also have a sauna.

Nice stay!

Clean apartments with a beautiful view over the town and the sea. The owners are just adorable. Very enjoyable pool and jacuzzi, good breakfast with homemade jelly, modern accommodations, large living room and fully equipped kitchen. What more can I say? Just a great place to stay!

Great place to stay!

My two friends and I stayed at Calas del Diablo for two nights and it was perfect. The owners are simply great and made sure that we were not missing anything. They made us an upgrade into a better apartment that they had free without us asking for it (we have taken a one bedroom and were given a two bedroom so no one would have to sleep in the couch). 

The apartments are very comfortable and have everything you need to have a pleasant stay (including a parrilla for which you are provided with the wood and everything). The resort has a common area with a pool, a jacuzzi and a sauna, apart from a dinning area.
Since the weather was not great we got our breakfast (included) inside and it made our day with all the home cooked treats that Cecilia brought us.  By far our best experience of our trip to Uruguay.

Charming lofts in Punta del Diablo!

We liked our stay at Calas del Diablo very much.  We had two spacious and clean lofts.  Each loft has its own Uruguayan parilla grill and a full kitchen.  There is a swimming pool and a brand new jacuzzi.  The owners are in the process of installing a sauna as well.  The view is good and it is a short walk to the beach or to town center.  The owners are very accomodating and nice.  The breakfasts are excellent.  The bread was as good as any as I've ever had and the homemade marmelades and orange cake were really outstanding.  The owner recommended some very good places to eat and a wonderful jazz performance at a little local club.  Punta del Diablo is a wild and interesting place, with lots of little houses with unique architecture.

Nice lofts in Punta del Diablo

The Calas del Diablo was recommended to us by friends and it didn't disappointment. The rooms are spacious and nice. We had a two bedroom loft, the master had a balcony where we could see the ocean. The second bedroom had a bunk bed and a twin bed overlooking the living room. The main level has a a living room area with satellite TV and a futon couch. the windows overlook the swimming pool area. The kitchen is separated from the living room by a breakfast bar. The kitchen is well equipped with cooking utensils, plates, etc. The kitchen also has a washer/dryer for clothes, stove, and fridge. There is a side door off the kitchen to access the patio with a parilla, picnic table, and hammock.

The swimming pool area is nice with several tables to sit at. Breakfast is served at the tables outside, however the inn keeper will bring it to your room if you prefer. 

The inn keeper and her husband (and even her children) provided excellent service. They were all very attentive and accommodating. We went out to let the kids swim at night, after the inn keeper had already taken the cushions in, we were sitting on the chairs anyway. The inn keeper saw us and brought the cushions out so we could be more comfortable.

The inn is approximately 4-5 blocks from the beach and 6-7 blocks from the little main street. There is a decent restaurant, Franco, across the road from the inn.
