Great place to stay inexpensive but nice and clean. I notice that the pictures posted online of the place doesn't reflect what I saw doing my visit. We had clean towels and sheets.our room and the place was clean with nice table cloths on the kitchen table.  The manager cooked a great breakfast during our stay. When walking to the nearby Metro we felt safe and we were safe. I would recommend this place to stay instead of a pricey hotel in DC.

Do not stay here they wtill take your money and then try to tgrow you out for any reason and then try to sell room again had to fight 2 months for a refund they are the worst watch out for manager Al .

Getting taken advantage in DC

Our first trip to DC so we didn't know the town at all.  "Manager" met us as we pulled up. He helped us find parking and with our bags, which was a pleasant surprise.  It was when he made several comments about not worrying about the neighbourhood that we suspected we were in an area "in transition".  It turned out that it was a good area, we just had to keep our eyes open; good advice in any new place.  There were several good restaurants and bars nearby and a Giant grocery within easy distance.

The house needs work done.  It seems as though only the bare essential repairs, security measures and cosmetic changes have been done recently. The room was one with the balcony, which we did use at breakfast and at the end of the day.  The bed was not that comfortable, but the AC worked well and WiFi worked some of the time. The fridge in the room came in handy as did the dishes in the kitchen.

If you're up for an adventure, this could be the place for you.

An adventure inn in DC

Let's just start with how crap this inn was. The bathroom was abysmal, the sheets were not changed once during my stay, and the neighborhood was not that fabulous. I was in DC for a conference, all airbnbs, and affordable hotels were booked that weekend. We were quite desperate. I originally booked this place for three nights, but ended up staying two nights. I spoke to the inn owner and told her that we got stuck in traffic and won't be making it in time Friday night, she agrees to meet us Saturday morning and obviously the money I paid for Friday night was not refunded. Approximately an hour before our arrival we get a call from this  owner telling us that because we arrived late, booking.com indicates that we must pay her cash and they will refund our credit payment. Remember, we are desperate, no places were available. We agreed and she gave us a form to sign form booking.com and gave us a receipt, we pay her in cash. It's been over a month, the money hasn't been refunded, I called her and she made believe she didn't know me initially, then she reassured me the money will be credited to my card. Anyways, I am disputing the charge via my credit card. SHADY LADY. FRAUDS. STAY AWAY.

THE INN OWNER IS A FRAUD. STAY FAR FROM THIS PLACE.

The rooms are in a very bad condition. 
Window could not  be closed. Dirty bathroom with empty bulb holders, and worn-out furnitures. Much to expensive.
There are 2 bathrooms for 5 guestrooms.

 Fortunately, the neighbourhood is nice.
