There are a lot of older hotels in Ocean City, some kept up better than others.  This is definitely one of the good ones!  Hotel is clean, staff is friendly and efficient, and housekeeping was AMAZING.  With as much sand as you inevitably drag in each day cleaning must be a pain, but our housekeeper kept our room spotless.  

You are close to EVERYTHING here- the boardwalk is a few steps away, and the beach is easy to reach (but I highly recommend bringing a wagon to haul your things).  So many restaurants nearby.  

Downsides include a small pool and not being oceanfront.  But neither of those things were dealbreakers for us and the rate was great!

Clean, simple hotel near the beach

Front desk was oblivious to screaming kids and parents all day into the night and the office is right where it happened with picture window. Sign on window all week was please call this number because no one was ever there. Pool isn't as big as they claim maybe hold 10 people. Pool wasn't cleaned all week. Water was cloudy and people were complaining. Our entry door literally had to be shoulder blocked to get in. Room 303. Elevator is from 1930 and slooooowwwwwww. Bathroom sink too close to wall so you can't even wash your fash without hitting wall or head on misplaced shelf over sink. Overall room size not bad. Location is like ALL OTHERS for the same price. Balconies had broken concrete and air-conditioning unit was sharp rusted pieces so you better watch your step or get a tetanus shot. You can tell the place is out dated. They say newly updated. Not hardly. Replaced carpet with cheapest vinyl possible but that's it. Way better places to stay for the same money or less. Never again!!!

Where do I start

It's not a huge hotel so you don't get much foot traffic so it was very quiet. Most of the rooms look onto the pool. The pool is large enough to accommodate the size of the hotel. It's larger than some of the huge hotels on the boardwalk. Room we had, had 2 Queen beds and pull out couch, kitchenette and large closet. It had plenty of space for all 4 of us who overpacked, plus food. It appeared to be updated when we were there. Floors in room were vinyl not carpet. Everything was clean. Check-in was seamless and parking was easily accessible. It's basically a very small walk to get to the beach and don't have to cross any roads to get to it. Staff was very friendly.

Quiet and easy access to Beach and Bay

Check-in was quick and easy. We had a room on the first floor with a nice little porch. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The efficiency kitchen was good and came with pots (no pans), dishes, utensils, and glassware. The coffee maker worked well and they provide coffee/sugar/powdered creamer. The pool was clean. The location is toward the end of the boardwalk so there is a bit of a walk to the bars & restaurants. Would not hesitate to stay again.

No complaints

This is not a multiple-star luxury hotel chain.  This is a quaint little hotel at the appropriate price-point.  The staff were all wonderful; the room was clean; the room had been simply, but tastefully updated recently.  Location…doesn’t get any better.  It is literally 1/2 block from the boardwalk.  It is walking distance to many coffee shops and well-known restaurants in OC.  I will definitely be staying here again.  My only complaint would be 1 elevator for a 5-story building.   During busy times, you’ll wait a few minutes for the elevator.

Nice gem in the heart of OC

The staff was friendly. The hotel needs an update badly. It is very out dated and didn’t seem very clean. I was bummed because when I booked the room I asked for a room with a view and was told they had a new computer system and it overlapped reservations.

Not what I thought ot would be

Highly recommend!!! Our family had a great experience staying here!! Wendy at the front desk was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond for us! We will definitely be staying again! If you see this Wendy your the best and we hope to see you again!!! 

Excellent experience! 

I was particularly impressed how one of the front desk workers went above and beyond to get me a room that would more than comfortably fit three people.  I originally had a small room with two double beds, but was instead provided a room that had a sofa sleeper, as well as a kitchenette for only a very small raise in the price. I thought the room was clean too.

I only thought that Casaclanca could use some updates, but I'm only really writing a review b/c I want to give credit where credit is due in regards to the service I received.

Friendly, Helpful Staff & Good Room for Price

We were going to OC for Labor Day weekend and decided to leave after work on Thursday instead of leaving on Friday.  I looked around for an inexpensive motel/hotel since we would be arriving late.  Found a great deal on this place.  I wasn't expecting much and it was fine for the price.  It is very close to the boardwalk and beach.  It is outdated, but seemed to be clean.  It does not have wifi, but that was also fine for the night.  It has a pretty nice and small pool.  The staff was nice for the most part except they actually called us up when we were 5 minutes late checking out. I understand they probably had a lot of people checking in for the long weekend, but it made us feel terribly rushed and bad. 

Fine for the Night

The Casablanca Inn has good size rooms. We stayed in double twin bedroom with the kitchenette. It's nice and spacious and I our room overlooked the pool.

There is no Wi-fi, I somehow missed that when I booked the room but that's probably my mistake for not noticing.

The parking lot is across the street and you get one free parking space for your car. Be aware that this is not a very large parking lot and if you have a large vehicle like a truck you may have some trouble getting in and out. I have a small compact sedan which did not present any troubles but I witnessed a couple large trucks trying to avoid damaging other vehicles trying to get out.

If you are coming Ocean City just to hang out on the beach then this is a great location because it's about a block-and-a-half from the beach which is really easy to get to and there are several really nice restaurants within walking distance or a short drive from the hotel.

For those of you coming to Ocean City to hang out near the boardwalk and the inlet, just be aware that this hotel is located at 25th Street and the boardwalk area is really between 1st and 10th and the inlet is five blocks between first and the water. We walked for almost an hour in the heat to get down to the inlet and that was exhausting.  The other options are the tram which is $4 each way or parking a car which is either $2 or $3 an hour depending on which type of lot.
