We are owners here and think it's one of the best places on the island. Every unit is 2BR ocean front with a full kitchen. We do a lot of our cooking in the room.... saves tons of money that can be spent on boat tours! Regular weekly events around the pool are fun for all ages, but the resort is honestly best for older folks. Quiet.... no bar... but drinks are allowed for socializing around the good sized pool - PLASTIC ONLY!
We do two weeks every year and are considering adding two more at a different time of year.

We have been coming here several weeks a year for maybe ten years.  Stayed in both towers.  Right on the beach. Staff is wonderful.  Pool is kept warm.  Large grill.  Lots of lounge chairs around the pool and hot tub.    Landscaping is pretty.   Great getaway!

Great beach vacation

This is an excellent resort location right on the lovely white sands beach .our check in was speedy . The room was massive ,and clean with all that’s needed for a lovely stay comfortable beds,  ,3tvs,  Wi-Fi was good and outside on the balcony all the rooms look on to the sea towards the west for a great sunset .there is a good sized swimming pool.and activities every day I cannot praise it enough

The only location with Sail Boats available to guests.....  Two Towers: The North and The South.  The South Tower also has a Great View of the Pool area.

Marco's Best Location !!!

We have owned here for 25 years and love it here. 2 bedrooms with washer dryer and full kitchen and all units face the beach. Love watching the dolphin and manatees swimming by from our balcony and having the chairs and umbrellas provided by Paul and the kayaks and catamarans and paddle boards ready to use on the beach!  Our home away from home!  Off to watch the sunset from our balcony!

Heaven

We arrived and our condo keys were ready and waiting.  Our spacious unit was not a beach view, but was a pool view with a perfect view of the resort water features and beautifully landscaped grounds and trees.  Each of the plants had a placard staked in front, describing the treat species by name.  One of the most beautiful resort properties we have enjoyed.  Our condo was large, with a wrap around balcony, with sliding door access from both the living area and the master bedroom.  The kitchen was large with the dishes all arranged in an orderly way.  There was a seperate wet bar in the living room.  The beach was right outside the resort, with plenty of beach umbrellas and chairs for rent. The resort offers Sail Boats, Kayaks, Paddle Boards, Bicycles and more.  A great place to have fun.   Marco Island is one of our favorite vacation destinations.  This was our first time at the Charter Club.  They run a tight ship.

Fun Resort

The location is phenomenal, every unit is ocean front and the beach is spectacular.  There is a private boardwalk over the dunes to the beach where you can rent chairs & umbrellas or bring your own.  HGVC owners & HGVC guests get free Hobie cat, sailboat, paddle boarding, windsurfing, others can rent.  The grounds are lovely and kept in pristine condition.  The pool area is great.  There is a full size pool with steps to enter that ranges from a couple feet up to 8 feet on the deep side.  The pool has a divider that makes it easy to keep the younger kids on the shallow side.  There is also a baby pool.  The pool is always full of kids so it’s a great place to go as your kids will always find someone to play with. One of the best parts of coming to CCMB is almost everyone who works or vacations here is very friendly and nice.  The gas grill hut is under cover and is great, you can easily grill something for lunch or dinner.  The welcome packet says there are plastic platters in the units with utensils in the units for grill use but we didn’t have that in our unit, and it seemed that no one else did because everyone brought down their glass plates. They updated the lounge chairs by the pool and moved the old ones to the balconies instead of just replacing them all.  They also need to add some hammocks and a sound system to play some low to medium beach theme music to block out the dj who screams all afternoon from  marriott vacation club next door.  The pool area would also be improved if they put up a few hammocks and a shade sail over the hot tub.

There are 2 buildings. North is closer to the ocean (no view of the pool) and the bikes, helmets, sand wheelchair, luggage carts, shopping carts,  and the laundry for twice weekly towel exchange are located there.  Units end in  5-8, (5 & 8 are corner units with oversized balconies) People who fly in and don’t want to lug stuff home frequently leave their beach chairs or floats here to share with the next vacationing family. South (units end in 1-4) overlooks the pool and the ocean but the North building slightly obstructs the ocean view in the units that end with 3 or 4 and houses the 2 pingpong tables and  shuffleboard. Its a great area for kids when it rains or they need to get out of the sun but they haven’t added one new thing in 25 years.  Time to add some new stuff like corn hole, or lawn bowling, or giant checkers / tic tac toe.  They should also add a couple of pickle ball courts. There is also a small fitness room.  

There are some kitschy activities on different days (some have minimal fees) throughout the week like a continental breakfast, pickle ball round robin (no one else showed up), ceramic bank painting, margarita party, root beer floats.  They need to add a water workout and / or a beach yoga!  Marco Island should also allow bikes on the beach like Hilton Head!

The exterior of the building looks exactly like it did when it was built in the 1980’s, there has been maintenance done to keep it in good condition, but no improvements or modernization to the exterior.  Even though it was just painted and the stucco redone, it looks outdated and old. They could vastly improve the appearance of the exterior by resurfacing the ugly rock facade by smooth coating or painting the ugly stone on the buildings and the grill hut.   Paint the building in art deco colors and add a pretty  marquee and some nice lights to highlight it  and bring it back to this century.  

The worst part was the units.  I hate to say it but they were run down, and looked like a cheap motel and are not HGVC quality.  The kitchen is straight out of 1980, nasty dirty broken kitchen cabinets that are being repaired instead of replaced.  Cheap black granite in the kitchen, brown granite in the bathroom, dirty carpet in the half of the room under the living room furniture but tile in the other half of the same room where the dining room table is, different tile in the bathroom and closet and the same dirty carpet in the bedrooms (was there a remnant sale?).  The appliances and the kitchen supplies were all very basic, nothing of any quality except the washer and dryer were decent.   None of the knives were clean or sharp and they should all just be thrown out. The shower ceiling was peeling, chipped and mildewed.  The shower surround was plastic, was dull  & scratched,  and the chalking  was mildewed and everything looked like it needed a good scrubbing.  I pulled out a dining room chair to sit down and it was full of sand and what looked like blood smears on it.  Later I noticed the same smear on the carpet.  Just gross.  They need to start by replacing all the flooring to LVP throughout the unit (no more remnants and dirty carpets — spend the money and do it right!!!), replace the kitchen cabinets (and be sure to spend the extra $ for soft close), make the master bathroom bigger and the closet smaller, get better lamps that attach to the wall and night tables that have 3-4 charging options (not just adding a clock with 2 cause neither the usb or the electrical outlets in the lamp actually work), replace the cheap looking sideboard with a desk table with a lamp, put some nice baskets on the dining room table, the bathroom shelves and some real trays, more light in the bathroom including a magnifying lighted mirror, maybe a stool in the empty corner. Upgrade the patio chaise lounge sets to match the pool deck.

Great location, condo unit not hgvc quality

We're Flex Week owners here and come down every year for a couple weeks. Beautiful, well maintained property with an amazing staff. The pool area is one of the best on the strip and the beach is a 50 yard walk away. 
The Charter Club is cozy and quiet which is what we like. :-)

Great units , plenty of room with beautiful views. When we opened the front door and saw the Gulf view we knew we would have a great time! Walking distance to restraunts and shopping. Plenty of beach activities available; para sailing, jet skis,etc.

Paradise on the beach

Great beachfront condo. Very clean, comfy mattress and pillows, and decently stocked kitchen. Nice size pool with a tropical flair. Staff is warm and accommodating. Beach chair, umbrellas, kayaks, sailboats, and paddle board rentals are conveniently located beachside.  Would definitely stay here again.
