Tried to stay one night to catch a cruise the next day.  Saw a bug on the floor, used my shoe to swat it-blood everywhere.  Looked it up and sure enough, bedbug!  More found on the mattress—under my DAUGHTER.  Front desk was unconcerned and unsurprised with a canned response offering a new room or refund.  They also excused it with, “The cruise ships bring them in all the time.”  And “There were 2 cases but we fixed the problem.” Ummmm...no. Zero apology even. Left the hotel after 2 hours —at midnight, with two sleeping children, to go to a national chain.  This doesn’t even address how run down and gross the place is.

Just spent a week here & would refer it to my family and friends. The staff is great here & very clean for the price ,$45 night you can't beat that price range anywhere. I highly recommend it . It's a stone throw away from the beach

Fun & sun

Stayed here the night of September 21st before going on a cruise. The hotel looked okay from the outside. However, we entered a room which smelled strongly of ammonia and cleaning products. The room had no windows to vent the smell and our youngest had trouble breathing due to the smell. The walls, doors, and furniture were all beyond filthy. There appeared to what looked like feces on the walls and chair. The bathroom was also filthy. We slept in our clothes and kept our shoes on. We never opened any of our suitcases and didn't use the shower or brush our teeth until we reached the cruise port the next day in fear due to the extreme filth. We also kept the lights on at all times even during the night for fear of roaches. Also the neighborhood was unsafe. When we told Uber driver who picked us up from the port about the hotel, he told us he doesn't even drive to that neighborhood due to safety concerns. If you are going to the Galveston port and need to stay overnight, stay in Houston or Texas City. Do not stay at Pearl Inn!! I have no clue who gave this hotel good ratings because this is honestly the filthiest hotel I have ever been to in my life.

Worst Hotel Ever!!! Filthy and Unsafe

The staff and Owners were extremely Rude and Unhelpful. - Room was Dirty - No  Hangers - When asked for an extra blanket they would not give us one -  No Luggage Stand in the room when asked they said they had none- We were charged for a day we did not stay at the hotel. The room had been booked incorrectly and when we 1st arrived the owner told us she would remove the extra day from the bill BUT when we went to check out she had changed her mind and would not give us the money back for the day we wouldn't be staying therel.  RUDE PEOPLE, DIRTY ROOMS AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!

TERRIBLE - HORRIBLE ROOM AND SERVICE

2 time booking here,again enjoy it. that why we can back again here again,clean nice room,close to the small pool.med size room, about a block from the beach.let us check in a little early about 1.20 pm.yes would stay here fro 3 time.

After reading the reviews I was skeptical about staying here but overall it was nice. No bedbugs, air conditioner was cold and the bed was comfortable. The balcony overlooked the pool. I would definitely stay here again.
