The condo was very nice, and convenient. The check in was lacking big time.  The check in time was 4 pm.  We arrived 5:05pm. The office was closed despite a sign on the door stating it was open til 6 pm. (Still not good for 4pm check in). We called the after hours #, got the combination and our packet.  We were able to find the condo though the street we were supposed to turn on did not have a sign on our side.  The condo had no name or # on it, an empty parking lot and a locked garage.  After 4 or 5 phone calls we found out you had to enter go into the garage and press the button on the inside for the door to open.  Next, there was a light over the door with our #,  but the key didn't open it. After a while we figured out that the next door down which was unlit was the entrance where the key worked.  The next day a rather unsympathetic young lady said "We close at 5 pm".  When we checked out another lady said they were taking over and she was quite understanding. Had we not been familiar with Winter Park and had carefully looked at pictures online it would   have been more than just a frustrating inconveniece.

Nice Condo, lousy service

Just stayed in Unit 304 at the Braidwood for the weekend.  If you're looking for a nice, inexpensive condo to stay in Winter Park, this is a nice option for the money.  We rented a three bedroom for the 7 of us and it worked very nicely...plenty of room.   

The location is fine.  I'm not sure you'd walk to much from there but it's an option if you want.  Pretty much everything in WP is right there on Hwy 40 and has parking available.

Condo is a bit dated but not terribly.  Decorated in typical cabin type of decor.  This unit had three bathrooms as well as three bedrooms and we didn't feel crowded at all.

There was a fireplace stocked with plenty of wood that we used on two nights and a gas grill that we used to cook on one of the nights.  It was very quiet around the complex...except that you are right off some railroad tracks that are fairly active.  I think there were at least 4 trains a day that went through there.,,probably more since wouldn't have seen the ones that came by during the day.

The people I was traveling with really enjoyed staying there and we were pleased with the value.
