Really enjoyed our stay here. Immaculate, spacious room. Catering for these times we now live in. Breakfast delivered to your room by 8;30 each day. Anything you need is left at your door. We stayed in room 6 on the second floor and couldn’t hear a sound and slept really well - bed was perfect. 
It’s a ten minute walk to the harbour. A bit of a hill on the way back - but to be honest was perfect to walk off all the fabulous food we ate from all the wonderful restaurants nearby.

Short Break Away

Cute, cosy, quaint, beautifully situated with our room providing great views of the abbey and a short walk into town. The room was spacious, light and very comfortable.

Due to covid precautions, breakfast is provided in the form of a hamper delivered to rooms. There was a lovely variety of items and it was a fun novelty to eat at our own en-suite breakfast bar.

For a 2021 stay-cation experience, we did so well to have found this gem; we'll definitely be rebooking next time we come to Whitby!

Perfect seaside B&B

Lovely welcome by Linda,  room lovely and spacious and clean. Comfy bed slept extremely well no road noise. Compacted bathroom very etiquette. Breakfast left outside you'r room we found it exceptional value for what you pay. Anyone would struggle to eat it absolutely  more than enough.  We loved or stay would definitely stay again and recommend it.

Summer break

Great location 10 min walk to centre the guest was very clean and warm the room was lovely and well maintained everything we needed for 2 nights the continental breakfast was really nice too would definitely use again 

2 night mid week stay

Where do I start 😉 Absolutely perfect stay in Whitby! Beautiful, historic house with clean and spacious rooms. Check in was trouble free and available from 13:00 which is great and handy when you travel and wish to start exploring early. Everything covid ready, hand sanitisers available on the way in and bottle in the room. Room was spotless clean and has everything you we needed. Extra future of small refrigerator, iron and fan was just a bonus. Breakfast left outside our room every morning was just perfect. Everything fresh, good variety, and we could eat it in bed in our pj's. No need to get up super early. Very good location, just few minutes away from city centre. Car park outside guest house, so we didn't have to worry about the car. Not one negative thing! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Whitby. 

Stayed here for 2 nights, an anniversary gift from our daughter. Can not fault this guest house at all! 
Bedroom was spacious and beautifully decorated, bed was comfy and all facilities available such as iron, ironing board and hairdryer. 
Due to COVID breakfast was served to your room, continental breakfast was plentiful, really enjoyed it! 
We would highly recommend this guest house, a real home from home! 

Anniversary Gift Weekend

Stayed at Elford House for 3 day break. Couldn't fault the hosts Linda and Ged , nothing too much trouble. Accommodation fantastic, rooms very clean, a good size. Nice little touches like having a fridge with a complimentary bottle of water and tea and coffee making facilities, even a iron and ironing board. Breakfast was delivered to your room by 8.30, continental basket with a good selection of items. Guaranteed off road parking.

The house is well located for the Whitby harbour which is only a 5 min walk away, but down a fairly steep incline, but would not stop us staying there again.  Plenty to see and do around the bustling harbour, but you must find time to visit Robin Hoods Bay  which is only approx 5 mile away. Again a very steep bank but the views make it well with the effort.

Short Stay at Elford House

Placed about a 5 min walk from the centre . Guaranteed parking . My room was large and well furnished with a large comfy bed  and a super clean and modern bathroom . The breakfast which is left outside your door were good and had fresh bread , milk cereals fruit and cheese as well as juice . The hosts were friendly 

Relaxing stay 

OK, first things first...We never do B&Bs, I've always liked the idea of hotel. It's just me... However, for this weekend we took the plunge and tried the B&B route, the key reason being car parking... Trying to find places with parking (not on the street...) in Whitby isn't easy. And let me quickly add, it's proper parking at Elford House, not sardine parking where fat people can't get out their car without trashing yours... We picked the room we liked best from the website, sent and email, and secured it. Arrival was quick, easy and ran smoothly. The room was lovely, clean, tidy and equipped with pretty much all you'd need... Yes, those annoying Four in a Bed contestants would no doubt find fault..., and with my best Four in a Bed head on..., I think one of the screws that held the door handle on was a miss-match... It was a cross-head and the other three were slot-head... Otherwise... not an issue with anything. And the breakfast basket idea worked really well for us. If you like a big fat fry up (and I occasionally do but SWMBO never does...) it might not suit, but otherwise it had a bit of everything. Must also say we bumped into the owners a couple of times, and very nice and helpful they were. In summation if all B&Bs are like this, we'll be B&B'ing again in the future.

Would win Four in a Bed with ease...

We had a very comfortable stay, at short notice. Clean, well decorated room with comfortable bed.  Excellent spacious en-suite bathroom with good shower.  The continental breakfast basket with boiled egg delivered outside your door is novel and ideal.  Very friendly owners.  The House is within comfortable walking distance of the historic town and harbour.  Will recommend.
