The hotel was quite cold as were the rooms, the whole hotel needed updating and decorating, not happy about no WiFi in rooms only in main hotel downstairs, so had to sit in cold room to have WiFi. breakfast very good but evening meal was a bit school dinners,  but staff and service fantastic, I asked for a decaff teabag on first morning and it was there waiting for me every day,  staff were very nice and friendly.  Service of meals excellent. My friend and I visited on coach trip.

Shame about the cold and no WiFi in the room.

Excellent value for money
Your never gonna get the Ritz at this bargain price, but lovely people, nothing too much bother, clean towels and linen everyday.
I'm veggie, so I was happy to compromise, however, I had an a great veggie breakfast, table service 110% better than yesterdays meal at the Euphesus, Torquay.

I will definitely stay here next time I'm in the bay. Thankyou all members of staff x

Brilliant value, lovely people

I stayed one night in this awful hotel on an organised coach trip with my four year old granddaughter.  The public areas were very dated but they were heated.  I had a twin bedroom which had one radiator that had a wardrobe placed in front of it, so only half the radiator was visible.  No form of heated whatsoever in the bathroom. It was freezing.  We had to sleep wearing dressing gowns and socks. The window was single glazed with rotten wooden frames which were full of mould. There was a big step down to the bathroom which was lined with hazard tape. I had to leave the light on in case we needed to use the extremely cold bathroom during the night. The food was bland. Breakfast was  cold. I would never recommend anyone to stay here. Especially room 11.

Worst hotel we have ever stayed in.
Room was filthy, the cup which held your tooth brush had the last occupants spit in it (discusting).
Black mold everywhere in the bathroom. The food was surprising good but then I never saw the kitchen.

Well where do I start   only stayed here for 1 night with husband and family  , and would definitely NOT stay here again .  The place is not good at all . The double room was very small very dated and needed a big face lift   and clean . . Pool table our of order . Toilet in our fmroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned for a few days     very nosy . Very basic aminetiees in room not enough electric points . Bathroom very small only could get one at a time in there . The breakfast was nice though.  But then that was basic also   .. it looked like some guest were actually  residents or bringing homed there by council . And also it advertised a swimming pool   but they don't actually  have one ?!!!! Please don't waste your money on this hotel

Stayed here for 3 nights easy parking. Nice friendly welcome the room was clean and comfortable. And all the staff was friendly an helpful and the breakfast was hot an  tasty well worth a visit .staff couldn't be more efficient 

Do not miss this little gem

This is a budget hotel just a short walk down hill to the harbour.
Although it is overdue an update,  the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. My bed had nice white sheets and was very comfortable. 
The breakfast was included and a good selection for a budget hotel.  It was well cooked and hot. They also provide a packed lunch service which is very convenient when planning a day out. On suite shower room with a good electric shower. The room was made up daily.
They have a bar area that also has a nice outdoor seating area which was very nice after a long day walking the lovely coast line.
Bus stop just out side ( the number 22 gose dowm to the beach and all the way to the Zoo.) So no need to walk back up the hill.
Very good given because of the staff.  I would use again for a short stay.  
Tip, take your own shower gel/ shampoo.  Soap provided.  Basic tea  and coffee and milk provided. 


Friendly budget hotel.

Great 2 night stay with 6 mates down for a weekend in Torquay. Receptionists were very welcoming and always happy to see us. Can’t go wrong with £38 a night including breakfast! The girls serving breakfast were very quick, the cooked breakfast was not huge but very tasty. We all agreed it was a great venue but a little bit tired in places and was a 10 minute walk downhill to the harbour and a longer one on the return up the hill! We would definitely go back.

Amazing value for money

The decor was poor. Wire dangling down wall to 15 inch  Refurbishment required. TV. Good food and service. Couuer and driver were excelkent. Hotel was ckean but I will not stay there again. Shower was freezing on first morning.

We traveled with Justgo and cannot fault the company, but the hotel was a different matter, the staff,food and entertainment was very good, the hotel was really cold the 2 nights we stayed there, there was no shower curtain  in our bathroom  shower head on the wall next to the tap so couldnt take a show without water going everywhere and no hairdryer in room or complimentry shower gel  etc only 2 little round soaps, I have to admit this hotel needs a lot of TLC and to be made warmer when you are in the entertainment lounge you dont expect to be wearing a coat to keep warm, as all the people in there were doing , I am sorry but i would avoid the hotel in furutre
