Don’t change this place! 

A pub with charachter, so unusual these days with the majority part of chains or turned in to boutique gastro pubs.

Our second stay here, rooms 6,7 are outstanding value for money.

Food is very good, service is outstanding, the village beautiful but it just has soul which you can’t put a price on.

No hesitation recommending and we will be back

We booked here as somewhere to stay while we attended a large Christian gathering at the nearby showground. I work with children aged 8-11 twice a day and need somewhere quiet to rest during the day. I also have a medical condition that meant camping or caravaning would be challenging. This Inn met all our requirements, quiet, nicely fitted and close to the site.

The Manor House Inn exceeded our requirements. It certainly is quiet, off any main road, and with owners that appreciate guests don't want lots of noise and "stuff" going on. The drive to the event site is easy and close enough to allow me to come back and rest during the day. They also cleaned the room, when requested, at times that did not conflict with this rest time.

Breakfast was also very good with a wide choice of main options and not simply a full English or just elements of that. We tried a number of the options, all of which were much enjoyed. The bar is well stocked and includes alcohol-free options as well as the nectar of the gods (still ciders).

The rooms are comfortable, and while a little tired in places, nothing detracted from our stay. The shower in our room was a walk-in with a wide, gentle "rain" type head. I can't use higher pressure types as they can cause me pain. It was so lovely to return and enter our private, warm rain shower.

The staff were excellent, and a special call out to Kayleigh, with whom we had the most interactions. She was always friendly and courteous and answered all our questions.

We have booked in for the same days next year and hope the new owners don't change too many things. Especially look after the staff you have.

I have no hesitation in recommending the Manor House Inn for bed and breakfast and the bar. We did not try other meals as they were provided for us at the festival, but the menu looked good. That said, it is not the sort of place to come if you want lots going on. It is a quiet inn in a quiet village.

A super Sunday roast, drinks and great service.  We sat outside as we hadn’t booked and the restaurant was super busy.  The staff were very friendly and helpful.  The roast pork was excellent and highly recommend this for pork lovers.  Beef also lovely.

What a lovely experience, we stayed here for one night and the service was fabulous - thanks to the charming girl behind the bar that also cooked and served our breakfasts. The rooms were warm and comfortable and the food delicious.

We ate here last night and absolutely loved it :) roaring fire although not in our restaurant section, which was candlelit and beautiful. Friendly waitresses, not just to us but to other parties- happy to recommend or alter things as requested. Food was delicious ! Pie was massive and could’ve fed 2- but no complaints from my husband - only that he didn’t have room to finish his Guiness and couldn’t face dessert. If we were local we’d definitely be back. A proper country pub feel, just what a cold evening ordered!

Visited for a family wedding being held nearby, so stayed for a long weekend. The Manor House Inn is in a charming village and there was ample parking. We were met by a lovely staff member called Bethany, who was polite and informative about the area. She showed us to our stable room, which was large, clean and comfortable. The welcome tray was much appreciated. We also ate here and the breakfast was plentiful, tasty and fresh, we also found out that Bethany cooked too...well done !!! Sally our host was always happy and went that extra mile for us, even though they were busy. I would highly recommend a stay here, we are coming back so we can explore some of the local area in a few months. Thank you for our most welcoming stay 😀 

We had a delicious supper here this week to celebrate our sons birthday. We all came away very satisfied, sadly we didn't have room to sample dessert so we'll have to revisit! Thank you very much for looking after us so well.

Stayed for two nights in room 2, amazing room, huge bathroom, bedroom very nice, plenty of teas an coffee, bathroom had shower gel an shampoo an body lotion, such a delightful stay
Ate in the restaurant one of the nights an it’s the best food I’ve had in ages, found all the staff so welcoming and friendly, it felt like they all new you an you were staying with close friends, sally made our breakfast experience very pleasant, had full English and best eggs an sausage I’ve ever tasted, if u like horses stay here as u get to see racehorses walk by all morning, we stayed here as my daughter rides those horses, I shall be back again in the new year an hopefully lots more times

I visit the Manor House Inn Dicheat a lot and the food and bar service has always been outstanding, 100% recommended especially the sunday roasts! They have Lots of garden space and a lovely indoor space!

We stopped in with our dog for lunch. The food was delicious (we had an open sandwich and the ploughman’s) and the service was fantastic. There was a great selection of Cask and Keg beer - the Plastered Pheasant was lovely. Dogs are allowed in the bar which was a bonus!
