Stayed here while working in the area. The single room I stayed in was ideal - cosy, clean and very comfortable with everything I needed, including a chair where I could sit to use my laptop. Lynn and Tony are very friendly, and nothing seems too much trouble. I would recommend the Hillcrest to anyone thinking of a stay in Scarborough, whether for work or pleasure. I look forward to returning in the future with my wife, and I know she won't be disappointed. You won't be either if you stay at the Hillcrest!

Ideal For The Solo Traveller

My Wife and I booked for a two night break and found our stay very enjoyable. Lynn and Tony made us very welcome and nothing seemed too much trouble. Had a problem  closing patio door at 10pm in evening and Tony had no problem with us disturbing him to rectify the problem. Room was great and breakfast was cooked to perfection. (Sorry about patio door Tony but wife spotted ashtray in your back garden and was trying to sneak out for a crafty smoke. Lol). Would definitely stay again if we are allowed back.....promise not to touch patio door again.

Nice break

Myself and my boyfriend stayed here as we were going to the Britney concert at the open air theatre, this place is located perfectly for anybody visiting for a gig there, the room was perfect, so clean and cosy and the owners very friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent and i think it was excellent value and would definitely recommend to anyone.

You won’t go wrong here, lynn & Tony are fantastic hosts and really welcoming. Perfect spot for the open air theatre (about 10 min walk) and the awesome Alpamare water park (about 15-20 min walk). Plenty of parking so ditch the car and take the open top bus into Scarborough or spend the afternoon at the lovely Peasholm Park (5 min walk). 9.5 out of 10 from us, would have been a 10 out of 10 if breakfast was served a little later (after 9am) on a weekend.

You won’t go wrong here, lynn & Tony are fantastic hosts and really welcoming. Rooms are clean & tidy with a coordinated decor. Full English breakfast is perfectly cooked and vegetarians are catered for. Good WiFi, even on the top floor so our Roku stick worked a treat for watching Netflix.

The hillcrest is ace! 

Super guest house, very friendly, lovely and clean, brilliant breakfasts, nice and quiet.

close to all we wanted to see, very good impression of the hotel (guest house)food very good very impressed with the hospitality shown by the owners.  could have done with oxygen in getting to our room.  wouldent hesitate to stop there in the future.   Must say would not ask the host to recommend taxis or such arrangements but at least it gave us all a laugh!

Booked an overnight stay with my daughter. Excellent location at the top of peasholm park. Breakfast was lovely and the owners very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Great hotel great location

A lovely B&B run by a very accommodating couple, who left me out breakfast in the fridge as I am a student nurse starting shift at 7. Very reasonably priced, with minimal noise so a good nights sleep was had. Have booked to stay again in return visits.
