We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Bryncoed.The room was large,comfortable and clean with great views and a huge shower room. 
The breakfasts were great and Scott was a superb host,friendly,funny and informative.
We'd certainly recommend staying there and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Superb host

We've scored of 5 but some will find it a little dated. It's a traditional b and b just reopened after lockdown. Scot the host is great, the rooms are clean and breakfast is very good. 

Also we slept well which can be an issue when you're used to your own bed.
It's a perfect spot for getting to the Elan Valley.

If required there is also a stairlift
There are 3 rooms so it's not a busy place which is ideal if you just want bed and breakfast.

Lovely friendly family run B and B. Scot made us feel very welcome. Room homely and warm. Great position on the edge of Rhayader town and easy to get to places to eat etc. Room extremely clean. Breakfast was perfect - great eggs 🍳. Thank you x

Booked here last minute and what a lovely little place. Three rooms available, double and two family rooms. Very warm and comfy, two minutes walk from town. Scott was a fabulous host, breakfast yummy. Will stay again. And loved watching all the little birds in the garden. 

Lovely little guest house 

Would love to thank Dee and Scott for our lovely stay at the Bryncod , as it was my first time in Wales they were so helpfull ,i stayed with my husband and son. Their breakfast is to die for absouletly delicious,made a great start to the day. Our room was very clean and comfartable and my son loved seeing the birds in the morning, we had read reviews before booking and were hesitant after reading one in particular but don't believe everything you read . There was not any dog smell at all. I would highly recommend to any family or couple to stay at the Bryncoed , and i can't  thank Dee and Scott enough for their help and hospitality, can't wait to book our next stay!!

What a Lovely Stay!!

Unfortunately we didn't realise it was cash payment when we came but we were able to pay on leaving. Breakfast was lovely but we didn't realise that en-suite meant a sink with running water in the bedroom rather than your own bathroom.
Ideal stay for a couple of nights.

Nice b&b

My husband and I stayed here for one night I have to say the room was very clean and comfortable although somewhat dated.  We were the only guests staying that night so wonder why the owner did not put us in a different room as he was obviously aware that there was a problem!! On the first flush of the loo the handle failed, owner was obviously hovering outside room as soon knocked on door and asked if there was a problem, with several attempts he thought it was fixed, no it wasn’t!!  On reflection we should have requested to move but were tired after a long day.  Needless to say we won’t be staying again.

I wouldn’t recommend

Booked this place for 1 night, arrived early introduced ourselves to the owner & dropped our luggage off as we were on motorbikes. When we got back later in the day were told the room was double booked, very disgusted with the owner as he had every opportunity to say when we called in earlier.
Also notice food hygiene rating was only 1, so not impressed at all.
