Strand House is just perfect in every way. We had the top floor apartment, with views over the harbour from the balcony/terrace. It’s warm and cosy (as well as being spacious) -the ideal sanctuary for a winter break by the sea. It was immaculately clean with beautiful fresh flowers. Sarah called the night before our arrival to confirm details and also to ask if there was anything we needed. I would 100% recommend a stay here and if/when I’m back in Padstow, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Absolutely Perfect

Rang and booked direct with Sarah. Fantastic apartment, all mod cons, beautiful kitchen, comfy bed and cute little balcony to admire the harbour. Spotless clean and lovely little touches. Will definitely be back. Parked in main car park only £9 for 24 hours. Fantastic place to eat is Prawn on the Lawn if you like seafood that is ! 

Last minute overnight stay 

My partner and I enjoyed a 5 night stay in the Huxley apartment at Strand House in August and would highly recommend it. This quiet, newly refurbished, top floor apartment is very well situated close to the harbour, shops and eateries. The apartment is very light and airy and has a good sized double aspect balcony overlooking the centre of Padstow, perfect for sipping a drink and taking in the atmosphere! The boats moored in the harbour and the estuary beyond are clearly visible. Although the apartment is centrally located, Padstow nightlife and any noise had disappeared by the time we went to bed around 11pm each night and we were up before the town was busy again.

We cannot fault the apartment itself which is spotlessly clean and in excellent order. It offers a newly fitted kitchen with all mod cons including a full sized dishwasher. Everything is provided including all kitchen equipment right down to the cling film and there is access to a washing machine (washing powder is provided) and tumble drier on the ground floor. There is a flat screen TV in both the sitting room and separate bedroom which boasts a comfortable, king sized double bed. A large electric fan is supplied to assist sleeping on warmer nights. The bathroom has an excellent, powerful shower and the owner provides good quality towels, some very nice toiletries and a decent hairdryer. Plenty of mirrors are provided. There is a lovely holiday feel to the apartment which is tastefully decorated in ice cream colours. The furniture is new and very comfortable.

Parking is not provided but this is not a problem. Despite visiting in August there were plenty of spaces available in town car parks (cost £45.00 per week). We chose to pre book our vehicle into the car park at Trevethan Farm just 6 minutes walk away from the apartment (cost £18.00 per week). We were able to unload and load our car right outside the apartment on Strand Street a rarely used side street.
Our thanks to Sarah, the welcoming owner, who called us a few times to ensure that we were happy and wanted for nothing. Overall, this is a ten out of ten property and we look forward to staying there again in the near future.

A Top Notch Apartment!

Great little apartment (Huxley)  for 2 people.  Nice modern decor.  Very clean & great central location.  One very slight criticism - the outdoor area could do with a little TLC but didn't affect enjoyment of stay.  Very handy for all local restaurants, pubs & everything Padstow has to offer.  A bottle of prosecco & choc biscuits on arrival was a very nice touch.   If/when returning to Padstow we would definitely book again.

Lovely accommodation in an ideal spot

Thanks to Sarah for the most wonderful welcome to her great apartment.  My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. I picked the place due to the incredible location and price: specifically because I had 2 cooking days at  Rick Stein's cookery school and I wanted my husband to have somewhere to use as a base while I was having fun there.  Also wanted to leave the car for 5 days and walk everywhere.  Boy am I glad that I found and booked this apartment.  It was perfect for us in every way.  Would highly recommend it. The upstairs apartment is light and airy and immaculately furnished with everything you could possibly want.  And an amazing price too.

Fabulous place to stay

Would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone looking for accommodation in Padstow.
We have just come back from a brilliant four day break here and couldn’t be happier.
Perfect accommodation with brilliant views out across the harbour.

Excellent Break

We were on a touring trip around Cornwall and purposely visited Padstow as we were booked into The Seafood Restaurant on the Sunday eve. Sarah, the owner called us on the Sunday morning to let us know we could arrive to suit ourselves and she would meet us if we arrived by 11 a.m. and also give us her parking space on the quayside.
We were delighted with our room (and convenient parking), we stayed in the Huxley which overlooks the harbour and the glorious weather made for a wonderful view during our stay. The house is literally minutes from all the shops, cafes, harbour and sits on top of a wonderful wine bar which is handy for popping down to. Sarah was very helpful in advising us on the best places to visit (and what to avoid for being ripped off, which was very good honest advice). The room was a very high standard, immaculate in décor and cleanliness and a wonderful nights sleep. I would have happily stayed longer as a base for exploring Cornwall had we not already booked onward accommodation ( there is not much to do/explore in Padstow though well worth a day visit). Sarah is converting the 2 upper rooms into 1 apartment and having seen the layout I think this will eventually be a perfect stay and offer equally high standard accommodation. Highly recommend, don't look any further as you wont get better

Just Perfect

A 2-night couples stay in early September, the holiday started wonderfully when the owner very kindly upgraded us to the main apartment. The sun shone all day as we walked for miles along the beautiful North Cornish coastline (literally, from Mawgan Porth back to Padstow). Nothing can beat the feeling of sitting back on the patio, enjoying a (few) glasses of red wine as the sun went down over the harbour. More than a holiday; a wonderful memory. A great option for a stay in dreamy Padstow. Thanks Sarah!
