Surprise anniversary for my wife. Firstly the staff were fantastic, certainly the best thing about the place. The room was ok and just ok, i wish i could mark it up but it really was just ok,. It didn't feel fresh or smell fresh maybe even a little tired around the edges.
Our room has the shower over the bath with no curtain so the water goes all over the floor. So you end up on your hands and knees moping up shower water after you have showered. My wife showered first and slipped in the bath getting in and really landed with a heavy thud and scream. She was ok but when i got in the shower with caution it certainly was very very slippery, I'm surprised that there was not a rubber mat supplied. The biggest disappointment for us both was the food, there were quite a few courses and nothing really was that great, the worst of all though were the main courses. iI had a lamb dish and no ware on the menu did it say it came topped with anchovies. That  absolutely destroyed the dish for me becouse everything on the plate tasted of it.  My wife's Pork dish was more Pork fat than pork with i would say 90% fat to Pork slither. We had the cooked breakfast that was nice but not enough there. Although the staff were fantastic i wouldn't rush to return when there are so many good places to eat in Norwich

Great Staff, all down hill from there.

Stayed as part of a group of friends celebrating a couples anniversary. The service, food, and execution of the party was second to none. Rooms were impeccable. Well worth the money. Made our long drive worth it!

Beautiful stay whilst celebrating with friends

Such a wonderful location and great disabled access for my elderly parents. We can not thank the staff enough for all their help. Special thanks to Sue for going out of her way, on more than one occasion to assist my parents throughout their stay.

Amazing Location & Staff

Well we arrived mid afternoon greeted by very pleasant person, then shown area where we can help ourself to tea coffees Soft drinks .then on to snug bar were help yourself bar wright down what you taken. Oh so lovely time walk back.then on to rooms elegantly furnished well equipped fridge fresh milk and goodys. We did dress up to go to dinner. Shame other's not bother,the experience in restaurant first class all the way.food drink all done in a old fashioned way on time and quietly. This brought back pleasant memories. Sleep well,as the breakfast is as well presented .I had 2 perfect poached eggs and full english. The toast perfectly toasted. Well as to cost dont go if you want mind spending money it is not cheap.will I go back yes. new year we expect.

Family  60th birthday

We made a last minute decision to visit Norwich and stay here and have an evening meal at the restaurant. Our meal was excellent. We stayed in the playroom and it exceeded our expectations. It was well decorated, clean and I loved all the lovely little touches and extras. The bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was served downstairs and was nice. I wasn’t keen on my scrambled egg but everything else was great and and I liked the local sourcing of ingredients they do. When we return to Norwich we would return.

A good visit

You feel like a house guest in the hotel with only a few rooms. Location is calm and peaceful. The service is exceptional. There is a small but cosy lounge with an honesty bar. Breakfasts are of a very high standard.
Only a few yards away is a top class restaurant with a great tasting menu and an extensive wine list. Food was beautifully presented and innovative around traditional core elements.

We book here for one night to treat ourselves and pleased we found it 
This is the most relaxing place 5 minutes outside Norwich and you have been taken to a different world the room is large clean comfortable with a great eye for the decor great views anything you would need it’s in the room from ironing board to fruit juice in the fridge the large bathroom has a double sink with a extra large bath a small swimming pool good quality towels and body washes the snug has a honesty bar which I through was a lovely idea tea and coffee available when ever you need just help yourself great touches
We booked for dinner we have eaten before the food is amazing this is our top place to eat in the Norwich area a place we’re you should go even if it’s once the gin bar is great the staff have a wonderful knowledge of gin and mixing gin the menu has a great array to choose from the service is professional and friendly with a clear understanding of what you are being served 
This is a place we’re we have decided we are going to use as often as possible we have decided we are going to stay again very soon 
Just try it you’re be hooked

Time together

You might be put off when you first arrive and realise this lodge is in a business park, but the setting is still quite rural and peaceful. Our room looked over none of the 'business' buildings.  We had a lovely room, high ceilings with antique and/or replica furnishings, accented with contemporary art.  Our 4 poster bed was comfortable and the bathroom roomy and modern. It was a lovely evening so we were able to have a drink on the patio  but beware, the patio furniture is quite low to the ground! There is also a small snug off the breakfast room for a quiet drink or for reading.  My one complaint is that the honour bar stocked various spirits and liqueurs, also beer and red wine but those both were in the fridge (no, no, no!) plus rose wine but no white wine. Breakfast was excellent - we had the full English and eggs benedict respectively and service was quick and service attentive.

The location is great for travelling and shopping in Norwich, or for a nice evening stay if you are having dinner at the restaurant next door. We will go back.

Lovely B & B in Noforlk countryside

Booked Brasteds for a nice weekend away with my other half and this place fitted the bill perfectly. We arrived to a very warm welcome, shown to our room and then left alone until breakfast. They offer a wide variety for breakfast from fresh fruit to a full English locally sourced. They were also more than happy to mix n match because it’s all prepared for you at the time it’s lovely and fresh. 

The room itself (We had Squire’s Retreat) was spotlessly clean, roomy and airy. Well decorated with quality furnishings (very tempted to steal the curtains 😉)  and the bed was very comfortable. In the mini fridge were a few complimentary drinks. 

The bathroom was also very clean and nicely arranged and decorated. The bath is definitely a feature and I suspect large enough for 2. The bath taps had a hand shower attachment. I would say that it could benefit from having an actual shower but since we were only there a couple of nights we had baths instead. 

Overall... yes it’s not the cheapest place but I really did feel like it was value for money and wouldn’t hesitate in staying there again.
