The way the owner treated us was unbelievable. Specifically, she got really upset and mean towards a person of color in our group. She forced her to immediately make her way out of the house because “she had covid”. This is unacceptable, I will never come back again, so rude.

Wtf?

Stayed for a week with friends, can’t get over the behaviour of the owner. On the last day came in and hurled bigoted abuse and accusations at my friend for no reason. Told her to ‘get out’ and that ‘we don’t have covid down here.’ We were checked out on time, treated the house with respect and left the house in a clean state. Horrible experience. Would not recommend to anyone. Shocked and appalled.

Dreadful and nasty, just like the owner!
A friend of mine booked 3 nights in this “hotel” but she couldn’t come and asked me to come instead as deposit was already paid. Me and my partner got approved holidays so we took over their place. Room was at the top- with a view of the beach. Yes. View was there and that’s the oy positive thing about this whole place, really. Place is old and carpets are dirty and smell bad. Room and so called “bathroom” wasn’t dirty but it wasn’t 100% clean either. No water pressure at all in this particular room, possibly cos there is so many rooms that it’s simply not enough to reach top floor room. Bathroom isn’t a bathroom. It doesn’t have a proper door or it isn’t even separated from the room. When we open the doors we thought doors are leading to the wardrobe.. cos they were wardrobe doors. Oh well. When try to sit on the toilet you need to sit on the side because there is no space between toilet and the wall. Why? Maybe because the “bathroom “ wasn’t there originally so when it had been installed that’s all they could do. Anyway. Forgot the parking spaces as well. They are 2 ( TWO) at the back, but owner ask to park your car so 3 can fit in, and hers as well blocking rest of them so you need come and get her everytime you want to leave. Night before we left, we came back “hotel” after another day of exploring Cornwall, we came back and all parking spaces were taken. Because i was at the drivers seat I’ve asked my partner to go and ask owner where we can park. Next thing i know she came out with angry face and walked towards me with “HE WOKE ME UP! I WAS SLEEPING AND HE WOKE ME UP) 
It was 7pm.... then: I quote : “DO YOU SEE THIS?! 
Me: looking confused at my partner her and whatever she was pointing at
“ DO YOU SEE THIS?! PARK THERE! 
And then she left.. basically she was pointing on neighbors next doors gap the have between two garage doors and their back gardens doors.
Anyway.. we parked up the car in someone’s “space” went inside and happily left next morning!!! Making money hundreds of pounds and cannot even invest in steamer to clean the carpets?!!! And even toilet paper so bad im not gonna even comment! I don’t know from where these good reviews coming from?!!!! We are couple in our early 30s literally minding our business and just asked about parking space and this is what we got! Disgusting 

Horrendous 

Booked for 3 days and ended up extending our stay for another 2 nights at the day rate was fantastic for me and my partner. The location is lovely and very close to the beach (5-10 minutes walk) - On check-in the lady owner kindly showed us our room (attic room) and was very helpful. The price included the breakfast in the mornings, but you must make sure you leave the breakfast form on her desk otherwise you may not get a cooked breakfast as she has to prepare it along with other guests. Overall, a fantastic stay and The Ravensbury felt like home to us! We didn't want to leave! Highly recommend

Brilliant!!

We stayed at the ravensbury for 3 nights and it couldn't of been better. 
The room was very clean with a great view of fistral beach. The memory foam mattress and down duvet made for a pleasant nights sleep. This proved great value for money. 
A good choice of food for breakfast, the cooked breakfast is a must! 
Nicky was very accommodating and gave great advice for places to visit or somewhere to eat. 
Can't recommend highly enough!! 

Great b&b and Nicky was very helpful

When we arrived we realised that the room which we booked was too small, however, the lady who runs the business changed the room for us without hesitation. She had realised that a bigger room on the lower level was more convenient for us. 
The lady who is called Nicola was very pleasant, thoughtful towards us and seemed to be very happy to make our stay enjoyable. The place was clean, fresh and well furnished, the room and shower area was cleaned daily. The breakfast had adequate choices and cooked breakfast was very good. 
Nicola also had a good knowledge of the area and was able to advise us of best places to eat and very scenic areas to visit and walking routes.

We stayed at the Ravensbury Bed and Breakfast for one week 

Would recommend this place to anyone . Lovely hosts  Nicki made us very welcome . Lovely room very clean , comfortable bed fantastic breakfast and a lovely sea vew from our room.

Excellent

Nicky very helpful and friendly. We stayed for three nights. Lovely comfy bed and quilt. Lovely breakfast and choice. Nicky recommended a night down The Red Lion and it was great, we had a lovely meal and a live band in the Red Lion. Only one little downer the shower pressure in room 5 is slightly on low side. Other wise a lovely place and owner. Steve and Jacqueline Hamblin.

Would highly recommend the Ravensbury Hotel. A very friendly, warm welcome from Nicola. The to was comfortable, the facilities and parking were great as was the breakfast. Would definitely stay there again.
