I'm not picky when it comes to hotels, in fact I'm willing to let most things slide but this hotel is an absolute joke. Firstly we arrived at 3pm. No one to let us in until 2 other people (not staff) let us into the reception. We waited for half an hour before I rang them to which they took another half hour to arrive with what seemed like a personal shoppingbag. After we finally got the room keys we headed upstairs and got hit with the strongest smell of weed but never-ending we assumed it was another guest not the hotels fault but this smell was ther for the entire week. They never made an attemot to sort any bad odours. We got Into our room and first thing we noticed was a large amount of mould and rust, the bathroom was mouldy beyond belief. Hair still in the drains, toilet still had someone else's urine in. The shower curtain pole was brown/orange with rust, closing the door to the bathroom would result in uncontrolled coughing fits. The fridge was unusable due to the mould, rust and an awful smell, the walls were visibly dirty and stained, everythingwas incredibly out dated and rotting. Day 1 we went out to explore london for a bit and we triple checked we locked that door, however whoever cleaned didnt feel the need to lock our door when they left our room, i ended up telling them not to clean it as neither of us wanted to leave the security of our stuff in the hands of staff who clearly do not care. Even though the lock was already dodgy the staff unapologetically blamed us for not locking it. Nevertheless on night 2 a fire alarm went off at 2am waking me and my partner. False alarm but oh well, however the next day we got a knock on our door with an extremely young looking staff member in a very accusing tone telling us we can't smoke in the room. Even after telling her neither of us smoked or vaped she didn't believe us (but sure ignore the weed smell throughout the hotel) i told her she can search our stuff but she couldnt care less about checking if we had cigarettes or vapes. We rarely saw any hotel staff but when we did they were lounging around in pyjamas and would much rather ignore guests than do there actual job. The staff clearly don't care about guests as nearly every day we saw people outside or by reception waiting for someone to check then in. Not to mention to check out they just want you to leave the key by a unattended desk where anyone can see and take it. We booked based on photos online but THE PHOTOS ONLINE ARE NOT THE SAME HOTEL. This hotel needs major renovations or needs to be shut down as its a hazard. If me and my partner had to money to book anywhere else last minute we certainly would have left day 1. Put up campers bed. Can’t even bring myself to sleep in the room with all the damp. 

Receptionist rude and when you call them just hangs up. Head office no help at all. 

Do not recommend this hotel at all! Hope many people see this warning

i saw bugs in my duvet and my towels and i now have nits. worst hotel ever its like staying in a bin. the room smelt, beds were uncomfortable, tv was tiny could barely hear it, the shower was so small u could fit a 7 yr old in there, person at the desk was so rude

Being sold via booking.com as Oyo central Hotel Golders Green. This is not a hotel, not a hostel but a scam. Stay far far away. This place should be shut down somewhere in the eighties. There are bugs everywhere, rooms haven’t been properly cleaned in years.  Complete scam.

Very worrying. Telephoned proprietor to advise him my husband had covid and we felt that it was better if we didn’t visit. Proprietor advised he was ok and we could come despite one of the party having covid! Beggars belief 

Not concerned about health and safety 

The hotel itself was OK, clean and comfortable. This review is based on the hotel allowing me to stay parked on site the following day after check out. It was very much appreciated as I needed to leave my sprinter van in London for a few hours

Nice enough

Location was excellent for our needs, close to family.
Breakfast is only basic continental but included in price and was adequate for us.
Bed was comfortable & room was very clean.
Bathroom was compact with shower over a small bath but again very clean.
Our room was on the front so some traffic noise. It had a small TV but large fridge.
Our daughters room did not have a fridge and had a shower not bath so pot luck with that by the looks of things.

Disliked · The external lights from the hotel shone in to the room all night - making it difficult to sleep
No Telephone in room
No internal communication system
For an 8 day stay the bed linen was never changed
The carpet was never cleaned
No bath mat
No plugs for sink or bath
Ridiculos shower head - impossible to have proper shower
No hand rail in shower/bath
Bath size fit only for a midget
Toilet tissue was inadequate - you always had to ask for more
The was very small TV high up in the corner - barely watchable

Poor stay at Golders Green Hotel

Stayed one night, room very basic, but thought staying one night it was ok, but omg in the morning I stripped my bed, because I always do on my last morning, and god I wish I hadnt! The duvet stained with URINE! 🤢🤢, called reception straight away, woman came up, obviously shocked at what she found but boss wasn't in,she said he would phone me that day to issue full refund, no call, 3 emails later i got a reply stating, that clean sheets are used and any stained duvets would have been washed.....WHAT! Stained bedding should be chucked, infection control, environmental health regs, if they think this is acceptable god knows what kitchens are like. Relevant agency's will be contacted. Dirt and someone else's deodorant can in with the dust!

Omg do not stay!

Spent the weekend at this hotel with my daughter. Yes it's basic but very reasonably priced. It's clean and the staff are very friendly and very accommodating. 10 mins walk from the tube. Will definitely book again if staying in London.
