The service was friendly and efficient, the room and hotel were clean, the bed was comfortable and we got a good night's sleep.  The stay was good value for money and the food was excellent quality - better than expected!

Great stay, great food and a great night's sleep

Checked in to the hotel and from the moment I walked into the hotel until I checked out 2 days later I was greeted and welcomed, The staff was friendly and welcoming. The receptionist was lovely and helped me locate my room. The following morning I needed fresh towels bin empty and cups, I spotted a housekeeper outside a room and stopped and ask for the items. She was so helpful and offered to bring them to my room. She also collected the dirty towels and cups from my room. She was lovely and chatty asking me how my first night was and any plans I had that day, her name was Vicky so a big thank you to her.It’s the little things that can make a persons day better even something as small as a chat. Will be back again next year.

Lovely hotel

A lovely peaceful stay. Beds were very comfortable and the hotel was so peaceful. We checked in and was greeted with a lovely lady on the reception desk called Cassie, she welcomed us with a smile and a welcome also gave us all the information we needed about the restaurant next door .A big thank you to Kelly on the housekeeping team, she helped us with our luggage when she saw us struggling and was very polite and helpful. Will definitely be back again.

Lovely hotel with lovely staff.

Went to hotel the night before a family funeral. We arrived after a 3 hour journey at 5pm. Checked-in etc. We were advised by reception that the pub next door was to close completely at 6pm (due to staff illness) so if we wanted something to eat we would have to do so now. I had a tired 1yr old with me, so travelling in the cold, dark and wet to find somewhere else to eat was not an option.

We gingerly went into the pub and asked if they could squeeze me in for just 1 meal for myself as i didnt want to travel to an alternative with my son who would soon need to go to bed. Whilst the staff were kind enough to give me a meal, the huffing, puffing, eye rolling and attitude of the duty manager and waitress let me know that it was a total inconvenience to them. But i suppose, all was well that ended well, I got a nice, hot meal which meant to could get my son to bed without delay.  My parents and brother were not so lucky and had to have a burger at a fast food restaurant  instead.

The staffing problems continued in the morning...no cooked breakfasts on offer. 1 member of staff on breakfast shift, no uniform, no name tag, nowhere to be seen. On appearance, no good morning...simply 'have you seen the signs' (referring to no cooked breakfast) Continental options did not look fresh, teaspoons were in a dirty caddy and tray of mugs needed a wipe. Coffee was dreadful. Member of staff disappeared again leaving no milk.

On a positive note I relayed my feedback to receptionist who was very kind and a housekeeper i spoke to in regards to disposal of dirty nappies was very helpful, friendly and understanding.
The hotel and my nights sleep was good, but experience marred by restaurant staff with a blasé approach to customer service who made me feel unwelcome ...a shame.



Hotel let down by restaurant staff

We had a short stay in at the hotel over the weekend. We had an amazing time at the. the room was fantastic, clean and spacious.  the staff were great. The pub next door has delicious food. Can’t wait to go again. Special thanks to Lucy who made our stay even better

Great stay

3 rooms booked for family attending funeral.
Absolutely no negatives. It met our needs perfectly. 
Plenty of free parking, friendly, helpful receptionist,
Immaculate rooms/ensuites, comfy beds, and help yourself to extra tea/coffee etc in reception to top up supply in room.
We added the breakfast to our booking which is served in The Roundstone pub on site (reviewed separately)
Breakfast was hot, plentiful & delicious. Set us all up for the drive home. 
Would highly recommend and will definitely book for future family visits.

Perfect

The hotel rooms are ok but was put in a separate building altogether? Check in was adamantly at 3pm with no flexibility for travelers who had been on the road for hours. Bath tub/shower was very high and was difficult to get in and out of.

It’s okay

Hotel was in the vicinity of my sons house whom we visited for his 40th birthday, hotel was adequate for what we needed only thing the room could of benefited from would be a mini fridge for milk etc, breakfast was a little bland for the money but to be honest I prefer to be served but that’s just my preference

Family visit

This hotel was situated between Littlehampton and Arubdal so ideal for exploring both. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was spotless and bed really comfy. The pub next door is perfect for dining with an extensive menu. Both hotel and pub are very affordable. Highly recommended 

Great hotel at an affordable price

i have stayed in many premier inns across the country and met lots of staff. For me, this one really stands out for how helpful the staff are. Lucy, in particular, needs a mention. I have been staying here now for the last 6 weeks, and every time i arrive, Lucy is there as a very welcome face. I couldn't gain access to the room Lucy sorted. I had no towels, Lucy sorted, and i needed more tea, Lucy sorted. It's hard to find someone these days who is happy in the work they do but i can say the staff at both the premier inn and the connected restaurant are so welcoming for everyone out of town they do need a special mention. It makes it easier for me to be away from home knowing i will be welcomed like this. In one sense i look forward to my return for the next 6 months.
