Good for exploring Settle and Yorkshire Dales. Lodge is an old building, but rooms were pleasant - our bathroom was modern and clean. The other room we had an older smaller bathroom. English breakfast was good.

Quite remote so car needed for getting about. Had 2 double rooms as no family room available when we booked, although that was quite late.

Good location for exploring area (with car!)

Lovely staff but we would not recommend this accommodation. Mouldy bathroom which will continue to get worse due to condensation and no extractor. Curtains were thin and did not close and I was unable to sleep on the second night due to a powerful light left on in the conservatory outside our bedroom. I asked for a blanket as the duvet was too heavy but was told there were none available. Breakfast was disappointing, too. No fruit, a few unappetising jars of stale looking cereal, poor quality tea and sachet coffee. No mushrooms on day two and 'we don't do black pudding'. Breakfast is usually the highlight of all our b n b stays but not this time! I really don't like leaving poor reviews but when I'm paying good money I do expect something better than this in return.

Disappointing

Clean en suite room. Decent size and only one broken window sash cord. . This is a campsite with a small B&B tacked on. The upside is that it is in a beautiful part of the National Park and there is access to the campsite bar and pizza nights.  The downside is that management’s entire focus is on the large campsite. So you have to call mobile number when you arrive. The Wi-fi is very poor (it only works if you stand in the corridor ext to the fire extinguisher).  The B&B still has face mask signs up and staggers breakfast (‘due to COVID’). But then the building used to be an infectious diseases hospital.  

 Breakfast was a major disappointment.  You have to book in advance online. And decide what to eat online. No proper coffee (just horrid decaf instant and some undrinkable powdered coffee). No originality (full English was the only hot dish). No fruit or yogurt or fish anywhere.  No hot food before 0800 hrs. 

We were here for 3 nights. No one made our beds, or emptied our bins at any time.

We had a lovely comfortable stay at Dalesbridge B&B. The rooms were perfect. Our request for an extra portable heater was instantly met. Breakfast was warm and tasty. Aimee is a great host and she was easy to reach out for any help. Definitely recommend this place.

Great stay at Dalesbridge

Great place and value.  We booked a last minute, pre tier 3, visit to Austwick. just for the one night, it looked good online. When we arrived and realised it was on a campsite, we did wonder how the rooms would look, so when we were presented with a newly decorated top floor suite, we were really impressed! 
Lovely rooms, loads of space, a kitchen and lounge in our suite we didn't expect. Lovely breakfast and excellent, friendly staff. Will definitely come here again.

Great find!

We stayed in the suite (room 8) was perfect for 2 young children as it is essentially 2 seperate rooms with a small hall in the middle. Hosts provided a travel cot. Other family memer stayed in their RV on a close by field (with their dogs). Pub on site was lovely & great pizzas too. We visited the town of 'Settle' for local shops & markets, also visited 'Stainforth force' for paddling in the river. There is no where to charge an electric car on site but there is a rapid charger in the car park of the 'Courtyard' hotel 10 mins away.

Great place for a family catchup

I have stayed at the Dalesbridge 4 times now and have tried all accommodation with the exception of camping.

Most recently I stayed in one of the pods with my family after previously staying in the B & B twice and the walkers cabins once. All my stays have been excellent as evidenced by the fact that I keep on coming back.

Each visit I have encountered clean rooms and courteous staff who were always willing to go the extra mile to meet our needs, be it advice on the best restaurants, nights out or things to do with my kids on my most recent visit (age 2 and 5, they loved the pods and the local caves). The bar was excellently covid proofed and the site facilities were constantly cleaned. The pizzas in the bar are delicious too.

Planning a group visit in November, government rules permitting. Looking forward to it.

Love this place

Well after a rocky start when I rang before set off to check payment and to be reassured about our little dog. The husband informed me dogs weren't allowed in the lodge. I mentioned id searched for places which allowed dogs and theirs came up. He said we have room in the walkers sheds. I said I needed a full refund then as I need to find somewhere else to stay. He then said he would only refund one night as thats the policy and they have some fees to pay to trip advisor. I put he phone down after saying U would check the look of these walkers sheds out. Meanwhile he called me back and apologised as his advert did say dogs were allowed but we were in room 1 so was ok. When we arrived we were put in room 1 on the ground floor which I can explain as a front room on display to all passing as we sat on the bed. The room looked very nice with lovely furniture then we inspected the bathroom as you do and there was horrible orange stuff in the tray which we thought might have been disinfectant. Oh and a few dead woodlice. We thought fare enough they forgot to wash it out. We tried but it wouldnt wash away without scrubbing utensils. We told a man outside as we were going for a walk to clean whilst we were out. While we were out the wife called and said her husband had put us in the wrong room which hasn't been deep cleaned since before covid. She said she would meet us with keys to room 3 which was upstairs which was nice apart from a dead woodlice. Can cope with that even though it was grose. I think they need to retrain their cleaners. After that we had no contact with the owners at all to see if everything was ok or to get keys back for room 1. We thought this experience was shocking and really spoilt our stay thankfully only 2 nights. There was no breakfast on which we knew about due to covid. We would never recommend or stay here again ever. We always read reviews about places and sometimes say how can people write some horrid stuff and there's always one! We never complain but feel this was complainable. We didn't really want to in these horrid times but the management was shocking. Needs some tweeking. Hope this helps them for future.

Bad management

Had a weekend catch up with friends here and had a great time. The staff are polite and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and the bar was well stocked.

Went walking one day and were given detailed and very useful guidance. A great place to base yourself if you are planning a walking trip and want to burn off some energy after a massive full English breakfast!

Great place to stay

Our family of 4 stayed at Dalesbridge Lodge B&B across the August 2019 bank holiday and loved it. We stayed in room 6 which was perfect - big, able to accommodate our two kids (7 and 9) on extra beds, clean, really comfy double bed, nicely appointed and a terrific hot shower. Highlight of our stay was an amazing cooked breakfast every morning which was delicious. Owners were very friendly and the lodge is the perfect location to be based from for touring the Yorkshire Dales. Highly recommended.
