We live other side Nottingham but as we were flying out of East Midlands and given the state the A52 is in at present we decided to start our holiday early a checked into the beautiful little Guest House. 
Upon arrival we were greeted by Sean who took our breakfast order, then escorted us to our very cosy spotless room. 
Room had a comfy double bed , TV, tea/Coffee Making Facilities, hairdryer, bathroom had a walk in Shower plenty off good Quality Soap/shower Gel. 
Lovely White Towels. 
Heating you control leave on all night if you want, but trust me you don’t need to.
A short walk to the main Village (very picturesque) to the village pub for a meal A little on the expensive side Hubby had Homemade Burger with blue Cheese n I had. The Homemade peppered Steak pie, Both served with chips in a very cosy setting with a beautiful roaring fire, nice to see a local pub so full where everyone was laughing n happy just like the days gone by.
On the departure Morning it was a short walk to the dining area where the choice was unlimited Cereal, fruit, yogurt,  fresh orange butter, jams and marmalade your hot breakfast was served along with toast off choice. 
My only negative observation was the coffee / tea was not hot,  as was self serve from a pump flask.
All in all a beautiful little quaint comfortable Guest House with a great service

Pre Airport Stay

We stayed here in a double en-suite room on a friend’s recommendation and were very pleased. It’s good value for money, especially considering the high cost of other local options. The staff were very friendly both at check in and every morning for breakfast, which we were able to preorder to our own preferences. The room was a nice size and well kept and the shower was lovely. The bed was comfortable and the room came with a kettle and a small tray of tea and coffee facilities. 
The village is lovely and it’s got easy access by car to both Nottingham and Derby.
It’s worth booking direct with the company rather than going through an outside agency as the owners will be able to ensure you get the best deal.

Lovely village B&B

Stayed at Lady Gate Guesthouse for two months. Would absolutely recommend this place for a short or long term stay. All rooms are spacious and very clean and the owners are very friendly people who will take good care of you and all your needs. It is located in a quiet neighborhood walking distance from the airport. So I would definitely recommend this place.

Fantastic

The setting is a quiet village with no shops and one pub. It is very near to the airport but we did not notice any noise from this. The noisiest thing around was a wood pigeon and other assorted birds. We were visiting the area for 2 days and I would not really recommend the area for a holiday stay. Attractions are fairly limited although there is much to see if you are prepared to travel a bit. The museum at nearby Donnington Park is a must for anyone interested in racing cars. The room we had was one that was suitable for disability users (this was the only one left when we booked ) It was large airy and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was a wet room and because of that was larger than normal. The breakfast was really nice , it was pre ordered the previous night so was freshly prepared . This is mainly accommodation for people maybe working nearby or on courses rather than holiday makers but that could be an advantage. The owners were nice people and were around if needed. It was a high quality place with all that you look for in a good country B and B.

Lovely B and B in quiet setting.

I booked this Guest House because I was visiting my brother.  What a surprise.  The rooms were absolutely immaculate.  I could not find fault with anything.  The owners were lovely.  Chef (owner) was very friendly.  Breakfast was exactly as I ordered.  He told me where to go and have a nice meal.  The whole property was spotless.  I will most certainly stay there again.   Great TV to watch the winter Olympics.  Worth every cent and more, I loved it.

The place was amazing , just miss a hairdryer in the toilet .
Totally recommended and the owners are very nice and helpful.
This place is close to the airport and you can reach by walking around 15min, also the bus station is close by.
