I stayed at this Bed and Breakfast for 3 nights whilst in the area for business. I was given a very friendly greeting then shown around the property then my room. I stayed in room number 1 which comprised of a huge bed, sofa, tv, fridge plus the usual comforts. The fridge had a bottle of water and fresh milk in it. The en-suite bathroom has a bath and a freestanding shower which was a good size. I went to the local pub for my evening meals (approx 1 mile away) which had a lovely restaurant with great food. I had 3 lovely nights sleep in a very comfortable bed. The hosts were kind to adjust breakfast time to suit my business needs. Great choice for breakfast including cooked food, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, juices etc.

Outstanding

Fabulous place to stay. Quiet cosy and immaculate. The best full english breakfast too.

An ideal place to stay when on business.  They do not serve evening food but the village has a wide range of pubs and restaurants.

Peaceful

We stayed here with our friends and the reviews dont do it justice. Everything was excellent. Rooms big and so well appointed. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast fantastic. Anybody looking for a place to stay which is great and VFM then look no further than Loe Lodge. We will be back soon.

Our December visit

What a great place to stay. The room was clean and spacious, the bathroom has been renovated and the bed was very comfortable. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Great Hosts, great breakfasts and nice and quiet. Highly recommended!

Smithy's Review

This is the second time we have stayed in this B&B and it is still a brilliant find. 
It is in a quiet backwater , plenty of parking, lovely welcome, rooms spotless , lovely bedding and comfy beds, well stocked welcome tray with a large variety of teas, coffees , hot chocolate and bottle of water and biscuits. Powerful shower with lovely toiletries and pristine white fluffy towels. No noise. 
Breakfast was superb , lovely home cooked porridge with fresh fruit or choice of cereals. Delicious cooked breakfast made with high quality ingredients. 
Absolutely perfect B&B couldn’t fault a thing , apart from stay was too short. Definitely recommend . 
Short travel to Ramsbottom where there is a steam railway, lots of lovely walks and close to the famous Bury market .

Perfect B&B

Just returned from a two night stay at Loe Lodge.  Very enjoyable apart from the weather which is obviously beyond anyones control.  The property is a little bit isolated but we found it without much difficulty (look for the stone post at the narrow lane entrance).  We arrived early but Richard made us welcome and allowed us to check in as the room was all ready.  Lovely, clean, comfortable room and bathroom with nice view over the fields and tea/coffee making facilities etc.  Lovely breakfast with a lot of choice.  Only downside is that there are no shops, pubs, restaurants etc. within easy walking distance so taxi is needed but not too expensive into the town.  Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet short break.

Enjoyable short break

We assumed a village location but very isolated on a working farm. Remote and hard to find - even two local taxis had difficulty finding it.View from bedroom and bathroom dominated and spoiled by large slate roof, both very cold.Lack of shelf space above wash basin, very steep stairs.No breakfast menu in dining room and no explanation of what's on offer - we asked for porridge and ''yes I can make you some"'as if this was a special concession. A second tea bag would have made a ''proper pot of tea'' Only one slice of toast. Overpriced at 100 pounds/night. Cheaper and more convenient accommadation close by. Would I stay here again - definitely not

Definitely not 5 star

Stayed for one night. Room fantastic. My wife and I both slept like logs in the beutifull bed. Spotlessley clean, cracking breakfast, lovely quite place but close to Ramsbottom. Ample parking. Perfect.

Excellent B&B

We stayed here for one night.   The room was large, with king size bed, a triple wardrobe, fridge, kettle, flat screen TV, free standing heater in case the radiators weren’t  enough, a comfortable leather settee, ironing board and iron, hairdryer, and well stocked supplies (tea, coffee, chocolate, biscuits etc and milk in the fridge).   Nothing was missing.  The bathroom had a shower and large bath and had been nicely refurbished a couple of years ago and looked like new.  The whole place was immaculate.

Breakfast was very good too, with fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, cereals, juices, large choice of cooked meals, and coffee and tea. There was a very large room next to the breakfast area, which guests could use.

We have been to several B&Bs recently and this was definitely the best offering.

A little bit difficult to find, with a narrow entrance off the road onto a country lane,  but worth it.

We stayed here as part of a visit to the Bury railway, beautiful rooms, exceptionally clean and comfortable, a great breakfast next morning, nice place to stay, would recommend!
