Very spacious, comfortable, clean in a beautiful setting. Furnished very well, bathroom is excellent (we stayed in Molesworth Barn). Owners are very helpful, cream tea waiting for you on arrival is a nice touch. Very suitable for dogs, plenty of space to exercise with no traffic to worry about. Location is great, very quiet yet a short drive to main roads, shops etc.

Lovely place to stay, highly recommend

We stayed in Moulton Barrett barn for 7nights. As other reviews have said there was scones, jam and a tub of clotted cream provided which was great and very yummy. We went to get more scones from the bakery during our stay. There was also a glass bottle full of fresh milk from the Milk Kiosk down the road which you could refill (make sure you take cash not card, £1.20 per Litre plus 50p per shot if you wanted a milkshake). 

The barn was a great size and each bedroom had its own en-suite which was a real bonus! There was some wear and tear to the property which obviously over time does happen but was a shame too. 

During our stay we lost some power to the kitchen plugs which the owners promptly corrected. 

The pool and hot tub was a massive bonus and it was great to have the pool to ourselves rather than share with other people staying.

We would definitely come again.

Would come back again! Moulton Barrett Barn

We stayed in the Sheldon Barn and Coach House over Christmas and had a brilliant stay. We saw both owners during the course of our stay and they were very friendly and helpful. The barn was excellent and perfect for a family stay. The beds were very comfortable and we all had a great sleep. The site is beautiful, quiet and maintained to a very high standard. Yet it is only a short drive to Atlantic Village and Westward Ho. The highlight was the pool and hot tub facilities which are open 24 hours a day and are timetabled so every family has the facilities to themselves. Swimming in the evening with the underwater lights was just amazing!!! There is a lake on site which would be a fabulous spot in the summer. Would recommend!!!

Excellent Christmas stay.

Stayed in Molesworth Barn, spotlessly clean, easy check in, greeted to a lovely cream tea and fresh milk.
Had everything we needed at hand.
The bed was so comfy.
The pool and hot tub were so lovely, warm and again spotlessly clean. Loved the idea of the timetable so there was only us in there at an allocated time.
Supermarket is only 5 minutes away and plenty of pubs or other eateries near by.
We didn’t meet the owners due to Covid and hardly seen anyone over the four days we were there.
Thank you for a lovely break, would definitely return! 
Only one tiny thing, it is quite dark between the car park and barn as the outside light only comes on when near the door.

Lovely relaxing break

We’ve stayed here a few times and will do again. The accommodation is spotless and very comfortable. The owners have thought of everything. The pool is perfect. The location is fantastic, close enough to everywhere you might want to visit but you still feel secluded.

Beautiful family accommodation

Just returned from staying for a week in the Sheldon Barn.  We could not fault this accommodation.  We can only describe this as home from home.  

I don’t think I have stayed somewhere with everything to hand, from washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, tea towels, sugar, milk coffee to a lovely welcoming cream tea (the list goes on!)

The swimming pool was lovely and we really liked the allocated time table and although this was probably introduced because of the dreaded Covid it worked really well.

We also found a lovely pub The Westleigh Inn - excellent food and again really welcoming.  

Thank you very much for a lovely stay and for making us feel so welcome. 

Highly Recommended

Had an excellent and very relaxing break in the Montgomery Barn. The location was perfect - secluded but also just a few minutes drive from supermarkets and Bideford / Westward Ho!

We had a bit of an issue getting into the barn as we never received a welcome email with the key safe code but this was sorted by the time we were back from the supermarket with supplies.

The Montgomery Barn was perfect - well equipped kitchen, comfy sofas, massive comfy bed and very nice bathroom. We travelled without the kids but the barn would be great for kids as well.

The swimming pool and hot tub were great too - the rota system means you get the place to yourselves at certain times of the day.

This was our first visit to North Devon and I think we will definitely return. Wouldn’t hesitate to book High Park again.

Le Petit Monde - French bistro in Bideford. Great food and cosy atmosphere for a special occasion meal.

The Cove Restaurant at the Sandy Cove Hotel near Ilfracombe. Lovely lunch and drinks on the outdoor terrace with amazing views out to sea.

Tea on the Green - cafe in Westward Ho! for the ridiculous cakes!

The Flame Factory in Appledore for excellent takeaway pizza and one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time.



Hard to fault - lovely break

We checked in for a December break. 6 nights. And we were welcomed by our host Anne-Louise, and shown round the barn, the facilities, and the site. All very impressive. Very modern equipment. Immaculately clean and beautifully presented. 

There are many thoughtful touches around the place, from a welcome cream tea, to coffee pods in the kitchen. 

The facilities are amazing. Dishwasher, washer dryer, nest thermostats, fog free mirrors. Marble work tops. Stunning flag stones. Huge comfy bed and seating. The televisions and internet worked brilliantly and the fact we could sign in to our favourite Netflix services was very welcome. 

Not a single expense has been spared in the build and upkeep of these barns or the pool and hot tub. 

Speaking of which, the pool was a great temperature, mood lighting and highly accessible. The hot tub was the perfect relaxation after a swim. 

The COVID practices are among the best I’ve encountered and the cleanliness of the facilities is second to none. 

Overall, we were made to feel thoroughly welcome, encouraged to use the facilities to the full, and overwhelmed with the quality of the place. We felt it represented excellent value as well. 

Thank you very much for a memorable stay. We will certainly sing your praises and be back in the new year.

A fantastic and luxurious  place to relax

The instructions on how to get there were excellent and so was our greeting by the owner ..... always makes for a good first impression.  The location is perfect for exploring all elements of the North Devon coast ....... the swimming pool and local fresh milk were the gems that made our long weekend perfect.  We would definitely highly recommend the place!
Great local dog walking places at Combe and Bude.

Cosy autumn trip to Biddeford 

We stayed in the coach house for a week in October and I can honestly say that this is one of (if not THE) best accommodation we have ever had the pleasure of staying in.
Everything has been thought about, to ensure that you have a comfortable stay. The barn has been decorated to a high standard with all mod cons, including a dishwasher, washing machine and modern bathroom. The king size bed was so comfortable and the heating system kept us cosy and warm even though the weather was awful! The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, with a dairy farm close by for fresh milk and eggs. 
Private use of the pool and hot tub, plus cream tea on arrival just added to the whole experience. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.
