We stayed two nights and couldn't be more pleased. Plenty of free parking, the room was really comfy and clean and we slept really well. Rachel is friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble and she made us a beautiful breakfast each morning. A great place to stay, we would definitely return if visiting the area again. Would 100% recommend 👍 

Lovely Stay 👍

We are Canadians and spent almost three weeks here because my wife was hospitalized a couple of kilometers down the road. Rachel and Wayne were fabulous. They were helpful in every possible way during our stay and really took an interest and supported us during our adventures with the UK NHS. Thank you so much to both of you - there aren't enough words to recommend East Mount House highly enough!
Nice, clean rooms, enormous breakfasts, and first-class hosts... a great stay! 

Excellent in all respects

Stayed here for four nights whilst walking the coast of England and Wales. I always thoroughly check Trip Advisor when I first travel to a destination I'm unfamiliar with. East mount House has excellent reviews and I can only add to them with a 5 star review. I had the large room on the front which is worth paying a little more for the space and the size of the bed. The owners are welcoming and helpful but do not impose themselves on you, if however you need help they are always available.

It was great to have a space in the off street car park adjacent to the B and B and the breakfast offering were very comprehensive.
 I thought the whole experience was perfect. So perfect I've booked again for November.

Perfect

Booking was so easy as was check in.  The welcome we received was really friendly and helpful. The room was filled rat class, clean and extremely comfortable. Very well appointed and clean spacious bathroom. I am surprised it is only rated it 3* as I would rate it higher. 
Breakfasts are superb with fresh food quality ingredients. The hosts willingness to offer local knowledge and tips was greatly appreciated. Look forward to staying here again.

AMAZING

Following many excellent return trips (when gifts were also brought from Scotland)our last visit was ridiculous and and quite frankly hurtfull.
We had pre-booked the same room as we normally did.

On our last visit we were unceremoniously dumped in a back box room which was a tiny single with very small bed and no room at all to move about.
No explanation was given and we did not complain at the time as we were just flabbergasted.

Completely unacceptable and highly disappointing

We have just returned home after an amazing 2 night stay at East Mount House. From arrival we were made to feel so welcome by Rachel & her family, which is so lovely & reassuring as it was our first time staying away from home with our 2 month old baby. Our room was beautiful, spacious & exceptionally clean. Plenty of room for our luggage & baby supplies! We even had a 4 poster bed! We had a cooked breakfast in the mornings which was amazing. We will definitely be back.

Perfect family weekend away

Rachel the person running the place lovely. Whatever you want for breakfast she will try her best to get it for you,
I am a vegan , gluten , wheat and nuts free. My breakfast  was excellent  . I didn't feel like eating until midday. Room was loverly and clean  shower a reasonable size and hot. 
I will defiantly becoming here again in Summer

Excellent place  to stay

Stayed at East mount for 5 days, I found it a very comfortable stay with lovely rooms shower etc. Owners liz and Steve were very welcoming and the breakfast a great start to the day would certainly recommend if your in the area.

Pleasant stay

Enjoyed 2 nights in Barrow at this guest house. The owners are very welcoming and helpful. You can always tell how good a place is by how things get sorted, we had a problem with the bed and we were moved immediately.
The breakfast is freshly cooked and sets you up nicely for the day.
Wi-fi is good and the property is just up the road from the town centre so £4 in a taxi if you want to eat/drink out and leave the car behind.
