We booked this hotel a week before we had to fly out urgently for business purposes. 3 travellers so we booked a room of 3, however when we arrived. The hotel rooms looked completely different to the pictures. The reason why i gave 2 stars is because even though the owner was not present the worker allowed us too stay before the check in time. However, once we go to see the rooms. It was a 2 bed and the guy decided to split us up between two rooms and said he’ll sort it out in the morning. Before we came some others had left and the rooms were dirty and not clean. I didnt even bother checking the bathroom. But too make it worse. The guy offered to give us fresh sheets that WE HAD to change. I am very disappointed as i paid a ridiculous figure for 4nights.  Do not bother with this hotel. Its more of a motel or hostel!

Last minute trip

Golden Beach is certainly not on the beach , in fact it's a pretty difficult little hotel to find and a good walk from the beach . It's very very basic with nothing to do except a pool and table tennis table . Nice and clean with nice staff if you can find the ones that speak English . Had some nice lunches there which slowly seemed to get smaller each day . Much of the food in the menu was not on offer as they kept telling us ''That's finished '' Things like bacon and beans were not available for the 2 weeks we were there , plus many times we asked for something they sent a boy to the shop to buy it . They kept going shopping for bread , ice cream salad  , all sorts , except bacon or beans ? The best thing we got there was the exchange rate . It was always a little higher than elsewhere . So this is purely a hotel to use as a base , but you will need a Taxi or Dolmus to get around .

Where's the Golden Beach ?

Finding the pension is extremely challenging.
The pool has a very cloudy, yellowish colour. It is full of children. 
Building falls apart. Bathroom, furnitures, and room are amongst the worst I have seen in my life. A youth hostel in Bangkok had a similar level but it costed 10$ a night.
It is true that price was "only" 30€ but in my opinion there is a certain quality threshold that should not be crossed.
Closest beach is dirty and crowded. Water is anything but turquoise.
Area's type of tourism is working class Turkish and British.

Horrifying stay

The hotel itself is very nice. The beach is lovely however to gain access you need to walk walk down numerous steps. Once there the beach is small, but private, the view is superb and the boardwalk lovely. The hotel is in a great location and is only a short walk to the town where we spent most of our time. 
Our only complaint was the amount of people that were in the hotel. We queued for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We could not get a sunbed anywhere near the pool and to get a drink was a nightmare. The photography was a bit hard sell, but apart from that service was very good. Altinkum was lovely and is having a major refurbishment on the front so it should be even better next year. 
I do recommend this hotel but if crowds are not your thing avoid peak season.
