A dream come true! The hotel offered breathtaking views, especially during sunset, that took my breath away. The experience felt just like being in the Maldives(without the hefty price), with pristine surroundings and incredible beauty at every turn. Truly a paradise getaway.

Stayed at Isaraya for two nights as a couple in September 2024 after safaris in Uganda and Tanzania. Our over-water suite was lovely. The suite was spacious and the deck was very private. We spent time suntanning and cooling off in our private plunge pool, occasionally taking a dip in Chwaka Bay right off our deck. There's also a white sand beach for wading and swimming. In the suite is a large tub for relaxing. 

All staff we encountered were welcoming and service was prompt and pleasant. Food was good and filtered drinking water was provided. We had access to the over-water restaurant and also the restaurant in the Konokono resort on the shore. Our room was immaculately clean.

The pure relaxation in luxury at Isaraya was a memorable ending to our Africa vacation. I feel we obtained excellent value for the rate we paid and I would love to come again.

Isaraya Over Waters exceeded all expectations! The bungalows are luxurious and perfectly situated over crystal-clear waters. The staff's attentiveness and friendliness made our stay unforgettable. Dining here was a culinary delight, with every meal surpassing the last. A true paradise, we can't wait to return

A very nice villa on the water that is tastefully decorated. The villa was immaculate and an amazing view. The service was flawless and meals delicious. 

Staff are amazing and friendly. The only negatives are that the road leading to the resort is very bad and that there is no entertainment at the resort in the evenings and one can get bored easily.

My husband and I had the most amazing stay in Isaraya overwater villas. It was a dream come true. Everything was perfect starting from the spacious and so well furnished room, the veranda, the private swimming pool, direct access to the ocean, the incredible view which can be admired from any part of the room, the hospitality and finishing with the delicious food. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

I had pleasure of spending a night in this stunning place with my wife. Admittedly it is one the best prestine beach with clear turquoise water. Very friendly staff. I cannot fault them in anyway. Hands down, this is one of rare gem in Zanzibar.

Amazing experience if you are there with your partner. 
The overwater villas are amazing. The view over the ocean when you wake up is great. The private dining restaurant, especially for the villas, is great. Food for dinner is tremendous. We've booked a package with a private dinner at night on the beach and a floating breakfast that will be delivered in your own pool from your over-water villa. All very good and super romantic. The people and the service is phenomenal. 
My only comment is that the villas are in the sun full day. They do have airco, but there is no shade. The dream is to stay all day around your water villa, but that's not possible because there are no sunshade / umbrella / parasol. This made us go to the main deck of the resort which kills the goal that you are there.

This was a phenomenal experience. It was so nice to get out of the Middle East and experience the athencity of Africa. The villas were just fabulous. The staff were authentic and welcoming. Very attentive to our needs. The food all we can say was fabulous. A lovely end to our African experience

This was our very first time to the African Continent, and all we have to say is that were blown  away by the hospitality. The services and experience is on par if not better than another island. We loved the athencity of the island and to the resort.

We received a warm welcome from Evan at the reception and completed an express checkin within the comfort of our villa accompanied by a glass of bubbles.

The meals were just lovely and staff attentive. If you come to Zanzibar this is the place you should stay!

An amazing 2 days well spent in these amazing villas. We cannot thank the staff and cooks enough for eveything they did for us. The service was top class and the villas immaculate. The food was out of this world. This resort is a must for anyone seeking a romantic getaway

KonoKono/Isaraya Beach Resort was overall a lovely stay!  We were greeted by the always warm and friendly staff and our luggage was tended to.  They then offered us a delicious hibiscus drink to help relax because the road in is quite bumpy and it a bit of a drive (a beautiful /interesting drive) from the airport.  Rose then gave us a short tour on the way to our villa.  We passed the spa where we had the most delightful massages on the day before we left. 
Along the way we also met many Masai men who always made us feel safe and we're super friendly always extending a "Jambo!"
My cousin and I stayed in an overwater villa at Isaraya.  It is a nice touch that it has its own private bar and restaurant for just the water villas.  The main dining area was just a short walk in the sand and we dined there too. 
Initially when we arrived in our villa we were stunned and very pleased with the decor, it is beautiful and has a rustic luxury look with clean whites and natural woods.  Having our own plunge pool and deck that had stairs leading directly into the water was exciting to see. The room needed updating including the shower design and room tiles.  So at this point we were happy but wondering is this really 5 star luxury as advertised. 
It was so convenient having the bar and restaurant close.  We met Charles a really nice and talented bartender that was always friendly and helpful while keeping well fed and watered!  We also met Beatrice who was just a gem during our stay.  
Whenever we had a question or concern Beatrice was there to help.  Beatrice anticipated our needs and really made our stay special.  One day after coming in from a very long day trip she had fresh coconuts sent to us to help us rehydrate from the heat.  And that is just one example of the many things that she did to really put a personal and thoughtful touch on our trip.  
My family is caribbean so I found it amazing that we could also eat local Zanzibar food on the menu if requested because it really is delicious!  My cousin and I could not get enough of the chefs samosas/sambusa and chapati! 
The people who work at KonoKono/Isaraya were my favorite part of the stay.  I really enjoyed everyone we interacted with.  I appreciate how they value customer service and were quick to rectify any issues.  All it takes is a conversation.  I would love to return here again one day and really hope that i do.

Absolutely stunning. The villas are on a level of what the Maldives has to offer. It was an amazing experience. We thoroughly enjoyed all meals at both restaurants. The restaurant at the villas it's very well put together and food amazimg but we much preferred dining al fresco. Mohammed and Paul we thank for the romantic beach dinner.

We were pleasantly surprised by such luxuries accommodation in Zanzibar. The price was competitive and the experience worth it's while. The staff and food were great and very attentive. Villas are beautifully maintained, and the manager Evan was a good host. 

The only negative was the weather as it rained for most of our stay and the fact that all the water goes out at low tide.
