Customer care was excellent and exceptional. the room was fabulous, cool fireplace. the landscape of the hotel is amazing. All staff are vey kind, politely ask and respond professionally.  I shall never forget food that everything from breakfast to dinner was a customized buffet with greens and very fresh vegetables and fruits from their garden. I shall never forget the tasty of the fresh food and fruits!

Everyone is advised to taste such heaven experience while in Tanzania particularly Arusha

The lodges are amazing! The room was very spacious with massive comfy bed, a sofa and a desk. Bathroom was really big with great shower and even a hot tub! There are also robes and toiletries provided. Dinner was served as buffet with a few decent options. Staff was very nice and polite. I would recommend, if you are after a modern, luxury place. It is especially a nice treat after a day on safari, when you are covered in dust and need a bit of TLC.

After our long and tiring day trip through Serengeti and Ngorongoro, this hotel provided us with all the luxury that we were yearning for.

Ensconced in the middle of farmlands and perched on top of a hill, this hotel is built by a British Kenyan businessman about a year back. Being relatively new, this hotel is still unsullied by the rush of tourists, and this peace was what we found the most appealing.

The dinner and breakfast was customised to our needs and the staff personally paid attention - be it the jacuzzi in our bathrooms or the vegetarian dinner that we requested. The 4 poster beds were very comfortable and the heater in the room was comforting.

The restaurant was a huge opulent area with long back rest chairs that gave a feeling of colonial British era. The 5 course dinner meal replete with all the cutlery definitely stoked a class of elegance.

A definite recommendation for travellers wanting to stay close to Ngorongoro crater and wanting to taste colonial luxury.

This lluxury lodge  was booked for us by our Safari operator. It is located  in Karatu and is about 15 minutes drive from main road to Ngorongoro crater. The bungalow rroom was very spacious  and the bathroom was very luxury with shower and whirpooll bathtub. We stay during low season so there is no other guest and we feel very quiet. There is no wifi and no English News chanel. Although it is luxury I would prefer a crowd non luxury lodge.

Luxury Lodge Very Quiet

How am I to know that I am in Africa?
You know the feeling when you wake up in a new place and for a few seconds you don't know where you are.  
A spacious room with a four poster bed, a comfortable leather sofa in front of a large flat screen TV, a  the desk and a couple of armchairs…
A huge bathroom  with the shower, the Jacuzzi.  Well…
The view from the window reveals lush green and manicured lawns. There are carefully paved very steep paths that would take you to a restaurant down below.   Once there,  you will realise you are the only guest. Extremely polite waitresses and the kitchen staff are ready to fulfil any whim you might have…  Nice yet at the same time a bit unnerving.
The reception girls very helpful and smiling… The grounds nearly immaculate with  many cottages  on the slope.  Empty. Nobody else except some young men waiting to carry your luggage. 
Where are we? It can be anywhere and everwhere…
It is only when you leave the walled off premises and go on driving through a local village full of people busy around their huts with donkeys carrying water on their backs and a multitude of goats everywhere. Sounds,  colours, smells tell you that you are really in Africa.
In fact we are in Tanzania, having left Ganaco Luxury Lodge , just off Karatu.
So summing it up – service very good,  food uninspiring,  sleep quality excellent, value for money??? I find it difficult to answer. Did we fly all these thousands of kilometres to land in a place that we could easily find anywhere in Europe?  So Let's be frank – no, Ganako doesn't tell you you are in Africa at all. Yet it is conveniently close to the famous Ngorongoro Crater and it is a short distance from splendid places like Tarangire or Manyara National Parks.  There  undoubtedly you will know where you are…
So, it is for you to decide.
