do not trust Agoda travel company. i booked a hotel with them and i tried to change my reservation to another hotel. after several calls and talked to different agents of Agoda and heard different things from them, they did not change my reservation and not even give me any credit. and i had to pay again to book another hotel. i pad $450 and they did not refund the money.

i had a very bad expertise with them and will not ever work with them. customer service is just awful. Agoda is not a trustable company.

No idea, how this place can get this good review. When I arrived I had to ring twice until the manager or whoever checked me in (younger guy) opened the door. I obviously had just waked him up. While I was watching a video about the hostel rules, he went into the bathroom next door. Since he didn’t close the door, I could hear him peeing. No hand washing either. And then it was dirty. Like literally everywhere - dust, hair, the mirrors smeared. Ok, it was around lunchtime and maybe they still have to clean so I decided to come back later. But even when I came back at night you could see that nothing had changed - it looked exactly the same. So I gave him the chance to clean, but even after that, I felt disgusted. Above all, the guy has an extremely bad attitude and was literally complaining that he ‘had to clean’ his hostel.

The older man on the other hand seemed really friendly.

It's quite a unique style hostel, which would make you feel like being home. Also, there are staffs from all corners of the world, and they are happy to share their lives and food with me. It's worth going, really!!!

Good experience here

Although the cost is really cheap but it is a very valuable place to stay. It is located in the center of kaoshiung. Just a few step from the main mrt station (Formosa Boulevard ). The owner, ah wei is very friendly and like making joke. He do everything in the hostel together with his helpers there. You can meet a lot of travellers there from different country. We will chitchat in the living room during free time. I feel at home when i was there. I hope i can stay longer there. 

Really warm place 

Actually I'm not so satisfied with the toilet because it's extremely small and whole floor has more than 10 people living. You have to queue to have your bath. Besides, there does not have the water dispenser, only have is the water heater. The last thing I would like to highlight is, if you are alone and is a girl, then I am not so recommend you to live in.

Suitable for male backpackers only

Maybe 10 people in one room isn't a good idea if you are a sensitive sleeper but really okay for just one night. Also for two since we extended spontaneously for a second night. The host of this hostel is really nice and tries to help you with everything you need. Even if you need towels the host is willing to borrow you some which was quite nice because of our wet stuff in our backpacks due to the rain.

The only negative thing I can find are the bathrooms since they were not really clean and mostly taken since you share one with 14 people in one floor (in our floor were two rooms: one with 10 ppl, one with 4). So you'd better plan some extra time in the morning.

What was really nice: the location! and a big plus for the free drinking water at the hostel.
