It's certainly the best and most spectacular view of the Virgin, Eiger and Monk you can get from one of the many hotels in the area. An adventurous, mostly sparkling street winds up the mountain into the 1,100-meter-high little ice-slope. The path is definitely worth it for anyone looking for rest on holiday and wanting to enjoy a spectacular view from the hotel balcony of the Virgin, Eiger and Monk. The hotel owner is very kind and serves his guests himself, even at the home restaurant. We have eaten here almost every evening and have never been disappointed. The piece is also very good and rich. Great exhibition on the wall. We like to come back in the morning.

It's a great hotel with an impressive view of the mountains. Everything is very clean, friendly service, nice boss and nice staff. The WiFi is a little fluctuating depending on the room, but it's much more interesting to enjoy the view of the mountains. We'd book here anyway.

We were thrilled.

Very hospitable hotel. Large, strikingly clean rooms. Surprisingly creative breakfast. Attentive, very friendly host. You feel comfortable around. No TV in the room, for the most beautiful view of the mountain panorama. Stars can be counted in the sky.

It's just wonderful!

We happened to be in a beautiful village, with a rather impressive drive-in. A very good dinner with a simple map is good. Careful service which is very pleasant. We liked the place so much that we came back the next day for coffee and grooming on the terrace with a beautiful view.

What a wonderful discovery.

From Monday to Thursday far away from all the hustle and bustle and in the middle of the mountain world with super food and very friendly hosts made a full brake of the professional hustle and bustle. Excursion to Interlaken was nice, visiting the 007 mountain by cable car was also ok. Alternatives are offered. But whoever really wants something from the location, who walks on the hiking trail around the hotel in a beautiful and uncrowded landscape from beginner to advanced for everything. Practically the super breakfast and the very good dinner... enjoy looking at the virgin and the ride down... The rustic, there is no TV (the last few days I have also missed the mountain...) and he wants to sleep in a beautiful and uncrowded landscape for anyone who wants to get away from the walls of the house... but it's absolutely worth it to come to the party and get away from the walls... but it's absolutely worth it for anyone who wants to come to the party... but it's absolutely worth it for a walk or a walk...

Three super nice days to slow down

Very nice hotel.Too many hospitable hotels.Large simple rooms with terrace.Regional products are greatly advertised.Eating and breakfast very good.Many excursions from Isenfluh.

Hotel with a view

The Waldron is run by Karin and Markus. You couldn't wish to find more friendly, helpful, efficient hosts anywhere!
Karin is front of house, and housekeeper. Markus is the chef and he cooks with as much local produce as he can. It's all delicious.
Our room was large but felt cosy due to the rustic decoration. We had a balcony with table and chairs, and a breath taking view of the snow capped mountains.
The bathroom was adequate.
Karin was a delight. She went the extra mile with everything she did for us.The little extra touches were really appreciated.
Breakfast was very good. Not often are you offered an egg done anyway you like for continental breakfast. Plus meats and cheese with the usual croissants and bread. 
The hotel is situated in a normal working village on the mountain. To reach it you have to drive through a single track 3/4 mile long corkscrew tunnel!
Lauterbrunnen is a 10 minute drive away, or a 50 minute walk through the countryside, or there is a mini bus service.
There is ample free parking at the hotel whereas in Lauterbrunnen it 's very expensive in the public car parks and hotels have very little parking available to them.
However Lauterbrunnen is a nice little town with easy access to all the tourist attractions.
We wish that we could have stayed longer than 3 days. Thanks Karin and Markus. xx from Samantha too! lol

An amazing little hotel.

My wife, adult son and I stayed for 8 days and seven nights in July 2018.  We were joined by a friend from Germany.  All four of us cannot recommend the Waldrand highly enough.  Karin and Marcos are great hosts and wonderful people.  We occupied 3 of the 5 rooms for most of the time, so we got to know them well.  The rooms were all very nice and well equipped.  No internet which was a blessing for what is going on in the US. We ate breakfast everyday and dinner every night there. (They don't serve dinners on Mon and Tues,but had recommendations that we enjoyed.)  The food was very good and varied.  Exactly what we were looking for away from the hustle, bustle and tourists.  Great place to use for home base while doing the sights and hikes around the area.  Highly recommend having your own car as Isenfluh is serviced by public transportation, but not frequently.

Stayed a week July 2018; Fabulous!

Not taking anything away from any other aspect of the hotel, but location is everything here. From the room, balcony, restaurant or terrace, the view is dominated by mountains. Such an incredible view. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food is very good.

We weren’t keen on the road up to the village. Part of it is a spiral tunnel ascending as you go. It completes more than a full circle. It’s fine for two cars to pass but we encountered a lorry and we had to reverse quite a way to a passing point. Not a huge problem but it was worth it for the views.

Amazing views!

Very cozy hotel, delicious food, friendly hosts very friendly and helpful - everything perfect We felt very well. The view is priceless.
