Just returned from a 3 night stay at this wonderful place! In short, perfectly located near bus & metro.  Clean, well maintained, spacious room. Shared bathrooms no problem at all - there were clearly cleaned several times a day and never anyone in before us. Lovely fresh smell, abundant and delicious breakfast and fantastic hosts. Will definitely return!

Amazing!

My preferred lodging when in Stockholm and need to stay the night. Easy access, good internet, large rooms and homely and this at a good price. Breakfast is very good with proper bread and good coffee.

Small gem for staying in Stockholm

We stayed here for two nights and would definately come back. 
The location was good with bars, restaurants, supermarkets nearby aswell as a metro stop only 5 minutes walk. 
The room was clean and fresh looking with very comfortable beds. The shared bathroom was cleaned daily.
Breakfast was a selection of meats, bread, cheese, muesli, fruit, yogurt etc and was delicious.
The owner was friendly and helpful. 
Overall a great place to stay.

Can't fault it

I travelled around the capital cities of Scandinavia. This was by far, my best pick.

As soon as I got there I loved it!!!! We were welcomed by Maria, a lovely lady who could speak 4 languages, mine among them! 

Property: a bourgeois old-fashioned apartment in a residential building turned into a charming and lovely B&B with an indescribable atmosphere. The property – on a 2nd floor - consists of two former family apartments side by side, that is, linked. Only nine rooms. It is a wonderful art deco building with a stylish small old fashioned elevator. 

Location: Good location in a leafy, residential area, with a non-tourist feel, walkable to the city centre. On busy Odengatan Avenue, in the Vasastan neighbourhood. The nearest T-bana station is about 5mins walk. On a good bus route too. Good shops, restaurants, fast food chains, Hard Rock café and supermarkets of. A feeling of Nordic style.

Room: Spacious, cosy, comfy with (in our case) a private bathroom. Tastefully furnished. Spotlessly clean (as the bathroom). On the street side so a bit noisy. High ceilings, hardwood floors. Big windows and as a result the room becomes hot during daytime though cool in the evening. Beds were incredibly comfy. A mini- fridge in room. 

Bathroom: quite small but spotlessly clean and new. Good shampoo provided. 

Breakfast: copious. Nordic-style breakfast, with a great selection, including a wide variety of tasty local products, prawny cheese spreads, excellent fresh coffee, pastries, eggs, yogurt, fruits, ham, salami, vegetables, Muesli, fresh crispy bread, hard-boiled eggs.

Staff: Well organised. Friendly and accommodating. Helpful. Knowledgeable. 

Pluses: Fast wifi. , nice touches (sweets in the hall, the excellent quality Sweden tap water in bottles in the room). Staff encourages guests to take along fruit from the bowl after breakfast. Great attention paid to details. 

We had an early arrival. Our room was ready. We were really grateful for that. Unfortunately you cannot use the kitchen in the evening. 

Only one drawback: having to leave!

Charming, cosy and homely! Highly recommended!

Good location, everything is a short walk away. 
Nice and cozy hotel, old-school style. WC and bathroom are in the corridor, it is ok. There were no queues, although there were a lot of guests. 
Breakfast was delicious, fresh coffee, pastries, eggs, yogurt, fruits, good music :)

Cozy and homely

A quick trip to Stockholm. Stayed one night here. Clean, quiet and nice. Room spacey and refrigerator big enough for some snacks. Breakfast nice, coffee excellent.
Would recommend and plan on coming again. Really a short walk to T-centralen.

Simple stay

We spent 5 nights staying here in a double room (room 4). It was very quiet and comfortable with a window overlooking the internal courtyard so there was no street noise.
There was a private sink in the room and the shared bathroom was just outside the door. Occasionally we had to wait to use the bathroom but there is another shower and toilet available if needed. The bathroom had a stack of individual small cottonhand towels for guest use rather than paper towels, which was a nice touch. Most fellow guests were considerate and kept the bathroom clean and tidy.

The hotel is in a great location with plenty of restaurants and shops in the surrounding streets (we recommend Creperie & Logi around the corner). It is a pleasant 20 - 30 minute walk down Sveavagen or parallel streets to the harbour and Gamlastan.

Breakfast was a simple continental buffet with cereal, yoghurt, fruit, boiled eggs, cheese, meats and bread. Special thanks to the friendly staff member Seva who served us breakfast each morning.

Recommed this place as a comfortable and convenient base for exploring Stockholm.

Great location with quiet rooms available

It was my third visit to Stockholm and I always seem to end up staying around this area, about a mile north of the harbour. Its a leafy, residential area on a good bus routes, very nice shops and restaurants around, and hotels are a little cheaper here. My first time at No 38 Odengatan. This bed and breakfast consists of two apartments side by side, where the bedrooms are situated. It is a historic building which is nice. Reception is in a tiny area, and the breakfast area is tiny -rooms good size. Although shared bathrooms, there was never a problem, they were always immaculate.  Value for money here was excellent. Simple continental breakfast.

Perfect for a budget stay in Stockholm.

Starting with the pros, the area around the hotel is nice with charming restaurants and cafes. The lady working in the mornings (only member of the staff I met) was also very nice and helpful. The bathroom situation is not ideal, but since I knew about it beforehand it was OK. 

The cons however were pretty significant for me. I had a room facing the street and traffic noise went on for most of the night, earplugs didn't help any. There was also some noise from the other guests and since the reception is only open during the day, there was nobody to deal with it. Judging from the reviews a lot of people love this place, but after three nights of very little sleep I can say it's not for me.
