Being from AZ, my gf and I were immediately dealing with the humidity.   That being said,  the A/C didn't work like an American A/C.  The manager accommodate us with a fan.   It helped tremendously especially if the door and windows were open.   If the door and windows are open,  pack mosquito repellent, candles,  a net,  anything to keep them from biting you because I was their dinner every night.  

Keep the bathroom door shut because the air is stale, hot, and humid in there and it will elevate the temperature of the room if left open.  It has no vents and the heat comes from a darkened window above the toilet.   It's a little creepy but it looked like the other side was a storage closet or something. 

Pack a European to American electric adapter plug.   The outlets are circular and recessed so ensure your adapter is circular.   

I think the unit had extra furniture in there that's not quite needed.  It could also use a deep clean to sanitize everything.   

Watch it for the metal U channel that all the sliding doors rest on, the corners are sharp.  Also watch out for the last step going  down the stairs as it blends in with the floor, my gf took a couple spills.

The kitchen needs a better knife and a cutting board. 

The unit it is 79 stairs up from street level.

Unit 14

It was like being at home but another country everything that i need including a balcony next to the kitchen to enjoy  your meals ,coffee or a few drinks .Great for watching the Iguana and people watching with a wonderful view of the mountains and ocean . Step outside go to your right and walk out on to the main street and get on a local bus when you get to the main road you can walk up the hill to the right and find restaurants or drive further and find the pizza shop . If you are an older person,  have knee or walking problems try to get an apt on the lower level I was happy i did because there are many stairs and i have bad knees ,but enjoy I was there  before the storm  so am hoping they had little damage but even if they do hope they can fix it up so i can stay there in the future. 

Great Place

Excellent location, staff and residence!  Appreciated the help and guidance from the staff regarding the local area and restaurants. Aso, the sitting and dining area on the balcony was great. Convienint to Grand Case, Orient Bay and Marigot.

This little french apartment was exactly what we were looking for!! The outside (covered of course) kitchen was wonderful and well equipped. The balcony was without a doubt our favorite place to be! The constant breeze was amazing! The beds were a little harder than we were used to, but we slept great! You have the option of opening the window or turning on the air conditioning in the bedrooms, and the air conditioning works great! In fact, I got cold a couple of nights! It is in a wonderful location, minutes away from grand case and orient bay, and it's only about 20 minutes over to mullet. There is a small grocery store very close to the apartments, but I prefer the carrefour. We would definitely come back and stay here! 

Our home away from home!

I'll still rate it 5 stars but it isn't the Ritz Carlton. For the money it's excellent. Three of us stayed in a two bedroom unit. 

It's very accessible and a couple of grocery stores and a pharmacy are nearby. I recommend going the opposite direct of the roundabout when looking for something other than bread or cheese. 

The unit we were in was quite nice.  The door wouldn't close without using the deadbolt but that wasn't a big deal. The unit had a safe. The toilet was separate from the bathroom.  Smart. TV was available. We never turned it on. The view is fantastic. 

The kitchen was serviceable and we used it daily. I took me a while to find eggs nearby, but they are out there. 

The deck is the jam.  The hammock was awesome. Super relaxing. Comfortable table and chairs. 

We didn't use the pool, but it's nice. We were too close to the beach to do anything more than hang out by it at night. The sun set rather early and we didn't want to be in the populated areas in the dark. No nefarious types by Idolem. We felt safe there. 

The people that take care of the place are quite nice. It helps to speak French. 

Bottom line, stay here if you want to stay out of the fray. It was nice and made for a relaxing vacation.  Just what I wanted.

My wife and I loved this place. The room are really comfortable and clean. The kitchen is well equip. The view from the balcony is amazing, you can see a lagoon and the sea. There is also a hammock for siestas and  a pool to cool down. The residence is close to a great beach and good restaurants. We recommend it highly.
