Was a pleasure to have stayed at this establishment. .. clean, food was good . Close visinity to yala for a safari and to visit other places of interest in the area.
Was nice and quiet was given breakfast early at 5am as requested and maintained their professionalism. Will definitely recommend any one with a budget to enjoy there stay.....

Value for Money 

Great to be back in Tissa and once again staying at Centra Villa. As before I especially like the beautiful views from the top floor looking over paddy fields to Tissa lake. Also the family owners are very sweet and welcoming - mother and father and three daughters. They run a motor parts and bicycle shop in the front and the accommodation is above their living area to the rear. Clean, friendly and a good base for Yala safaris and general sightseeing.

Great base for safaris

Budget hotel, friendly staff, we got fruit plate from fresh ones right off their own trees, very tasty. They arranged to us a very nice and professional safari, we saw many different animals. The room itself was ok, but the bathroom was very neglected. If they clean it, the place is ok. Some mosquito repellent would be great in the rooms also, not just the bed-net.

Could be a great place

Centra Villa is tucked away behind a bike shop on the main road. It provided a challenge for our small bus to reach but proved better than expected, with half a dozen guest rooms on two floors.
Our group spent three nights there as a base for jeep safaris to both Yala and Bundala national parks. Breakfast packs of a sandwich, fried egg and small banana were supplied on the safari days, as was tea before we left around 5am.
The airconditioning worked well, but it seemed that the owner pulled out the fuses if guests went out and left the aircon on. Guess he was saving power, which you could not blame him for.
WIFI was only fair, especially on the second floor, and frequently I had to go downstairs to try and connect. Bathrooms a little smelly.
Shower pressure on the second floor was often poor and water not hot at popular times.
Dinner was offered one night at about 700 rupees per person and was okay. They were able to provide beer on request but it was not very cold. Tea was available but took a while to arrive and contained sugar which was not to all tastes.
The location is good, being on the main road allowing a short walk to the supermarket and choice of eateries etc. Going in the other direction it was not far to the lake which made a pleasant stroll around evening.
Overall the managers were pleasant and obliging but the accommodation standard is only average.

Handy location for national parks

To visit the Yala National Park there are numerous homestays on the way they are convenient and cheap. The place called Centra Villa. It's entrance is a little tucked away so you may have difficulty in finding it.
Place has two floors with 1 floor having double bed rooms where we stayed. The second floor has single and tripple share rooms. Rooms are clean functional. 
The host is very homely. They see that you are fed well...and always... Food is excellent, hygienic tasty and plentiful. We were very thankful for the gastronomical delight. If you are friendly with the host you may get to taste the coconut arrack.
It's halfan hour from the Yala National Park. The owner has 4*D which he rents for the Park drive,though we had booked beforehand with some other travel.
The place is great for small stay,very basic....not even TV food is great and surroundings peaceful. Fruit is from their own garden.
A word of caution lot of insects you may need Mosquito spray. Though the owner has made adequate arrangements in the form of Mosquito net for sleeping.

A cosy home stay

We were taken to this guesthouse by a local as we just wanted something nearby tissa, clean and with aircon for a good price. And that's exactly what we got. The owners of the guesthouse we're really sweet, ensuring we were fed and made our takeaway breakfast for the safari (at 4:50am bless them). Room was really large and clean with a nice shower. 

The whole area around tissa is flooded with bugs! So that was the only thing that made our stay less comfortable, but that's no fault of the guesthouse. :)
