We visited her for one of our friends birthday . They could not have done more for us , we arrived with birthday banner up , balloons , even a birthday cake .  The villa is modern and very comfortable . Clean and well equipped . Excellent location very close to the beach , also the lagoon , the town and supermarkets within easy reach . On site secure parking  , also if you have children it’s very safe as completely walled and gated so you can relax knowing the children are safe . On site parking . An all round winner .

Super Good

Really enjoyed my two night stay here and its only a two min walk from the beach. The shower was hot and gd water pressure too. The breakfast was really tasty, fresh juice, eggs etc and they give you milk with tea or coffee which you don't get as standard in Sri Lanka. The lads working there are very friendly and helpful too. I couldn't fault the place for the price and proximity to the beach! 

Perfect Stay! 

We had a great stay at coco palm villa. Our room was modest but very clean and good air conditioning. Such close proximity to the beach and the guys managing the place were super friendly and just top blokes. Keep it up guys!! 

Cool vibes 

What a gorgeous place to stay right next to the beach. Rooms come with comfortable beds, bug nets, en-suite bathrooms with hot water showers and a fridge. Breakfast was lovely every morning, and staff always made sure that we were well fed. Staff always saying hello to you every time they see you, willing to have a chat and inform you of places to go. A definite must stay.

Beautiful

The place is very calm and Very tasty vegetarian curries, which makes the service super fast for Sri Lanka. All of the food very tasty and with good variation. The price is cheap as well.

Nice ambience with friendly gang

We stayed in tangalle for only two days, and ate at this place twice. Food was delicious and well priced. I thoroughly enjoyed the cheese roti (a must have) and it was served with dhal that is some of the best I’ve had throughout India or Sri Lanka. 

It’s under new management and these guys were very helpful and entertaining. They were quick to give advice and share stories about the local area. Isuru even drove us to Mirissa today, which was cheaper than other taxis had quoted us. They went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed every moment we had at their restaurant as well as in Sri Lanka. 

If I’m ever in tangalle again, I’ll make sure I stop here. I can’t recommend this place enough, try it for yourself!

Awesome service and great food to match

Giant comfy beds, lovely hot shower, so close to the ocean, super chill vibes. This place is exactly what I needed.

New staff and new management for the next few years, so the place is absolutely setting a whole new standard for cleanliness, good vibes, and friendly atmosphere in this neighborhood.

Ah so so beautiful

Under new management, guys just took on a 5 year lease
Staff very friendly and accommodating
Food excellent, pizzas a hit with the kids, nice change from local food after 11 days
Music fun, kids were able to dance
Great location 
Walking distance to town and a stones through from the beach



Excellent Restaurant 

The accommodation is very clean and comfortable, the bathroom was great and also the shower had warm or cool options. 

Our room however was located on the ground floor and had no privacy at all from people drinking and eating in the restaurant outside, meaning we had to draw the curtain at all times- not so good if you are claustrophobic. The ‘private beach’ also does not exist.

TRAVELLERS BEWARE

It needs to be mentioned however that travellers should beware of the local fisherman on the beach, they need help with pulling in the fishing nets which was a genuinely great experience to be part of and we loved giving them a hand. 

The downside is a fisherman then offered to cook us fish dinner at his house in exchange for our work, we accepted his invitation as we saw it as an act of kindness. Unfortunately after dinner he then pestered us for huge sums of money and we felt very scared and threatened as the situation became potentially dangerous.

Fearing for our safety, we left the area the next day as it became obvious that this particular fisherman uses tourists in this way, it was apparent that locals were aware of this but the hotel didn’t mention any warning to us. 

A very sad end to our short stay in Mediketiya.
