Nimali House accommodation was fully booked but I had heard about Chandrani’s ( owner Terri’s wife ) fabulous authentic cooking and classes . We had the most wonderful experience .She only takes 2 at a time and all the spices were picked ground and roasted - We helped make 5 dishes , string hoppers , curries , green beans with coconut milk , salted deviled tuna , potatoes , rice and Dahl . The coconut was taken from their tree , split drained ground and milked . We had fun exchanging culinary language and her sister in law face timed to explain some more details . The whole experience was joyous , authentic and the end result was the best meal we had in our trip . The classes are by request only but that is part of the charm . Tailor made for you . Throughly recommend . If you can get accommodation here too it’s a great location , clean and incredible value .
