I will give you realistic review. No BSIng about best or worst place. 

The staff here are very friendly. They will be awaiting your breakfast every morning, give you some usefull advice, however, prices at the hotel reataurant are over the top while you can get a better food elsewhere(point of elsewhere i come back to). Chicken, rice and bbq sauce, heated in microwave=850 rupies=6e. For that you can buy..yea.

Beds are clean, wont be changed during your stay but okay. We had a frog in our bathroom on arrival, ok, haha. Otherwise bathroom and the room are okay, nothing special, basic.

The biggest problem for me was the remote place of hotel. 15min walk to nearest bus station + 25 min for a very cheap bus to nearest town Negombo. Tuk tuk = 250in one of way to negombo. About 1000+ to Colombo.

The beach is far from being beatiful. Its dirty and smelly, the water is not clear, rather yellow, and the waves are big. The area around the hotel is dirty. Not something you want to see if you want to spend time on beach. Forget about it. 

No AC in the room, just a fan. 

However considering other options north of colombo this is a 3,5/5 grade. It will take you a while to get to somewhere if you are a lowbudget backpacker. Other than that, the hotel is a quite a good option to stay no more than 3 nights

Realistic review

We booked one room. When we arrived de room was not avalible. De owner said all rooms were full. Very strange...... So if you book it's very important there is a conform from the hotel manager. The food was very nice and staffel members to.


Room not avalible after booking

This is a new hotel and everything in there is brand new. Staff was very helpfull and I would strongly recommend this place. Complimentary breakfast was very good with the best tasting pineapples. It's not actually too far from the rest of the hotel area. It's about 5 mins away. 

Very nice place

Newly renovated, clean rooms, crisp clean sheets, comfortable beds. Gayan, the manager, is energetic, motivated and eager to please. Food is very good, especially the fresh seafood which they will cook-up on request. Very accommodating with breakfast options - provided cheese, curd, salad and off-course fresh fruit. In fact we discovered the ultimate Sri Lankan breakfast treat here: thick slice of fresh sweet pineapple with generous dollop of heavy curd, topped with a trickle of delicious coconut honey. Slightly north of  the busy hotel district but there is no problem getting a tuk tuk or taxi and you definitely get your monies worth for the room rate . Sunsets on the roof with a cold beer - wow!

Nice Hotel

The owner and chef there were extremely helpful and kind,  the rooms were extraordinarily clean and extremely comfortable with breathtaking views, the location was great for fishing and the hotel even went to the extent of offering to cook the fish for us, (It was cooked to perfection), the food was great and generous portions were offered to each one of us, I have to say that this is one of the best places to stay in Negombo, you won't find this anywhere else! :)
