Was there last year, breakfasts was bigger and the price was lower
But mosquitoes were both times
Good location, near the beach and quiet place, laundry 200 rps/kg. Friendly stuff

But next time I’ll find another hotel


Place is getting worse

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, the location for us was perfect just 2 mins from the beach and we can easily go to the beach, the staff was kind, the breakfast was okey. 
The room was good and clean.


Budget friendly ,good location 

We stayed here for three nights whilst in Mirissa. The price was very cheap and included a breakfast - fresh fruit, tea/coffee, toast and a Sri Lankan omelette. The room was basic and the bathroom could do with being done up, however it was clean and this was expected form a budget home-stay. The family were friendly, and we had no issues until our last day. There is also a sign on the gate stating that it will be locked at 10.30 at night - this was fine for us but this should be advertised for those that want to stay out later. 

When we checked out the family organised us a tuktuk to take us to Tangalle (about an hour away). The lady told us a price and so we agreed with this and the tuktuk came to pick us up. When the tuktuk driver dropped us off in Tangalle he demanded more money as the hotel was further away than he realised. We refused and he called back the family from Mila Rest Garden. They then also disagreed with us and agreed with the tuktuk driver than the price was higher. We are sure we were right as we held up our fingers to ensure there was no misunderstanding. We had offered the driver a tip for driving us as we felt bad that he got lost, meaning we were already paying more than agreed and he was still unhappy. We then paid the higher price he was demanded but he then demanded a tip on top of this. In the end we took our bags and got out without paying anything else, however the family on the phone were very rude and suddendly agreed to the higher price their friend (the tuktuk driver)  gave.  A sad end to what was a good stay in Mirissa. Would not return based on this, although the location is great and very cheap if travelling on a budget.

Budget friendly

We booked a couple of nights here and ended up extending our stay as the hosts were lovely and the room excellent with a/c. We were 2 mins from the beach and the hosts made a delicious continental breakfast for us every morning at whatever time we wanted. Our view through the window at breakfast was stunning too! Would highly recommend.

Lovely stay

Family were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was big and tasty. 

The room was a good size with fan but the smell of damp/mould was really over powering, they need to keep windows open. 

Didn’t realise until we got there and read the ‘notice’ on the back of our door that there was a 10.30 curfew.

For the cost it is pretty decent 

Ok for how cheap it is 

So nice stay! Nice family, nice room, nice location! Near the beach. It could be a little bit noisy. The bars on the beach play music intill next morning. Earplugs solve that problem! We had a Very nice room on second floor with private bathroom.
