Very nice stay at Ginza Guesthouse.  Unbeatable breakfasts.  Very welcoming and very attentive family.  It has been a wonderful stay and recommend to anyone traveling on a tight budget to stay at this accommodation.

FEEL LIKE HOME

This very nice hostel is run by mother and son, both exremely friendly and warm people. Just ask and they’ll arrange whatever you want. The room we stayed in was huge, wih all facilities one could wish for. The hostel is located near the city’s central lake, and a tuktuk will bring you to the city center in about 5 minutes. For daytrips the hostel’s hostess can hook you up with a very competend and friendly tuktuk driver who won’t rip you off, as many other tuktuk drivers WILL do. We actually stayed much longer than originally planned, it’s that good.

Like a nice warm bath

Amazing little place,  super lodging with beautiful surroundings,  full of greenery around,  a happy family run the business with an open heart,  forget the star hotels,  you will never get the experience elsewhere,  cheap and best with full of hospitality,  what else you need when travel on a holiday.

Home away from home

We had the most amazing experience in Ginza Rest. The family that run this place is absolutely wonderful. Nimali, the mother, make us feel like we have home in Sri Lanka. She made the best breakfast with love and good ingredients, help with our laundry in a good price and the most important - was so lovely and careful. Her son, Mishel, is so nice and welcoming! We had good hot water, wifi, very good meals, nice and very clean room (without Mosquitos!) and the best atmosphere. It located in the neighborhood a bit up the hill (very close to the main lake but not in the touristic place) so the view is so nice and you feel like you are actually in Sri Lanka.

Guesthouse that feel like home. The best.

We've been at Ginza for 3 nights. Our room was very clean, big and the wc too. The owners were wonderful expecially the mum and her son Michelle. When I was there I had a health problem and they behave like my family, the mum was cooking for me and Michelle help my friend to buy medicines. They were really fantastic with us! I really recommend Ginza Rest!

Very nice place and very nice family

The owner really went out of her way to book a private driver/tour for us for a great price. Food was great, rooms were comfortable and reasonably priced. The area is quiet and peaceful for sleeping. Would recommend a tuk-tuk into Kandy center (5 minutes and very cheap) since the walk is do-able but very dusty and lots of traffic.

Lovely family run guest house

The rooms are huge for the guest house and very clean. Most of all I liked the bed, its very comfortable. The price is quiet resonable 1500 rupies without breakfast and 600 rupies breakfast for one person.
