There is no other place to stay in Hikkaduwa than the Roman Beach Hotel. A small six room boutique hotel is as good as it gets! The ocean views from comfortable room and amenities makes for a very peaceful five days of relaxation. Waruna and all the staff are very kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The food is exceptional and the chef went out of his way to accommodate local dishes and western, and the fish special best meal I’ve had in Sri Lanka. The pool always clean and relaxing. Hotel is only a short beach walk to the main part of town ( and turtles 🐢) and a good area to base yourself for day trips along coast or inland southern provenance. It doesn’t get much better than this and I can’t wait to come back one day!
