There are better places nearby and on the way on Waterfall Road.  The owner is arrogant and with a big red car thinks too proud of himself.   The price is too much for what you get.  Breakfast sucks ... cockroaches all over. Eggs cold.  Toasts like carbon bricks. Juice & Tea is like water.  Keep off. Toilets stinky. Room has bugs and cobwebs spiders..... bed parabolic & is making screeching noises.   .... stay clear of this dump.   Plenty of better places on the same road we found. .... not recommended.  .....

Not Recommended  find a better place elsewhere

The Guest Inn is along a quiet dirt road, and has a lovely view over the valley. The family couldn't have been more friendly - frankly the people of Sri Lanka have all been wonderful. The Inn is a 10 minute walk to Ella - although Ella has very little to offer: I would stick to the hill walking. Breakfast was really lovely - both in terms of the food, and the view from the table. Excellent value. Highly recommended

Lovely, great value place to stay in Ella

We had the bedroom with the large windows, very bright and the view is lovely. The bed is very comfy, hot water in the shower (with pressure), the breakfast is generous (banana coconut pancakes, toasts, eggs, rotis, fruits), the owners are very kind and helpful and the location is perfect (not in the city but close enough to go by foot) and the view from the terrace !!! Waouw !!!
The only negative point is the internet connection, it's very slow (when it works) and even if I told the owners several times, nothing changed....

Lovely and the breakfast is yummy !!!!

I loved this little place just outside Ella. Such a nice family living in the house below and an incredible view. Breakfast had a spread of everything and although the rooms were small, they had everything needed to have a good time. I would recommend this little gem.

Great owner, great view and vibrant town 

We were lucky to get a family room as called when we were already in Ella at night and looking for a place to stay. The owners were very friendly and helpful and would go out of their way to make sure your stay with them was comfortable. The food was very good and the view mind relaxing. 
If you have a vehicle parking may be a bit of an issue but then dont worry they will find / make arrangements for parking.
