It was really nice. The room were clean, there was a space for social activities and the host was very nice. Breakefasts were delicious and we even got a ride to the train station. There is also very nice restaurant just around the corner.

Very nice axcomodation 

Me an my boyfriend were staying here one night. Beautiful hotel! Everything was clean, net above the bed, toilet papers and towels were also on the room. Warm water in the shower as well. The staff was very friendly! We had breakfast included as well as welcome drink (tea or coffee). We had a nice terrace with view and very comfortable chairs (sunbed). Perfect location, 1 minute walk from the hotel is an amazing restaurant! That one I also recommend. Amazing food and Passionfruit juice. Really reccommend this hotel ❤️🥰

Amazing

Amazing accommodation! Neat room, spacious terrace with sunbeds, perfect view. Host is very friendly and polite. Upon arrival we were offered welcome drink (coffee/tea) and in the morning we had delightful breakfast. Highly recommended!

Best accommodation in Ella

So glad we booked here. Short walk from Ella train station and plenty of good restaurants/bars/coffee shops/souvenir shops a short walk away. Fantastic location to walk Little Adam’s Peak and Nine Arch bridge (the guesthouse is a short walk from the start of the trails) breakfast plentiful and delicious

Truly special place

We planned to stay here for a week or 2 but ended up staying 5 weeks.  Freedom is perfectly located close to town for restaurants, walking distance to 9 arch bridge and Ravana. Nelson the host is wonderful and showed so much care and kindness to our family. 

The daily breakfasts were AMAZING. Our children preferred western breakfasts which Nelson prepared for them varying them each day (eggs, toast, jam, sausages) but my husband enjoyed the delicious Sri Lankan breakfasts - and no two days were the same… egg hoppers, string hoppers, coconut pancakes, chilli potatoes and more. Every breakfast was a feast. 

The rooms were comfortable and very clean. 

We use the Internet heavily for our businesses and for homeschool but wifi was brilliant. 

We had the best time here and that’s why we stayed so long. Thank you Nelson and Kumari.

It was amazing the breakfast was glamorous. We stayed there for five weeks nelson was so kind and we loved everything about the place we will miss the fun and the amazing beds and we had the best 9th birthday ever we wish we could stay longer thanks

We had such a lovely stay at Freedom Guest Inn. The staff were so friendly and made us amazing tea! Really close to all the restaurants and bars in Ella. Clean room, with a mosquito net provided and extra blankets if needed. The breakfast here was one of my favourites of the whole trip. Wifi worked perfectly, and there was a generator, so we were not affected by any power cuts. Would definitely recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Lovely stay

Recommended by a friend and the four nights stay was excellent, rooms were clean and equipped with hot water. The owner Mr. Nelson is a pleasant individual and everyone was very friendly in this family run inn (not very common when you are a local staying in Ella). 

 Thank you and we will be back!

Four nights in Ella

Modern hotel tucked away in a quiet area less than 5 minutes walk to the centre of town.  Although only 10 minutes walk to the station the owner collected us in his tuktuk and took us back when we left.
The whole hotel was exceptionally clean and well maintained.  Hot water for shower, extra sheets and blankets were offered as it was a bit chilly at night. The owner also lent us waterproofs.
We chose not to have breakfast so cannot comment on the food.
Would definitely stay here again on our next visit.

Excellent Value

We could not have been more pleased with our stay here. The room was very clean and modern. We had our own veranda where we had a superb breakfast of fruit, pancakes, toast and an omelette!
The owner helped organise a trip to the tea factory and was full of helpful information. 
I would recommend this Inn to anyone.
