2138 reviews1 week half board break in June. This was our second visit to this hotel having previously stayed in 2021. There were Covid restrictions then, so we wanted to see what the hotel was like in normal times! We were welcomed on arrival by reception and given the sea view room we had booked. We did have lovely sea views in the distance, shame about the derelict park but if you looked out it was lovely! This time we stayed in a standard suite, however it had everything we needed. Good size, nice shower, fully equipped kitchen if you need it, full size fridge which kept drinks cold, iron (yes I’m crazy and iron on holiday). We had no problems with noise. Food was very good, always vegetarian alternatives. Never had the desserts though so not sure what they were like. We also ate out a couple of nights. It was lovely to sit outside for breakfast and dinner. Cannot comment on building work as we didn’t stay at the hotel during the day, we’d go to the beach or be out in our hire car. We never saw or heard anything construction wise. Likewise, we didn’t use the pool, so cannot really comment on the sunbed situation, though we saw sunbeds had, and were being reserved when we were having breakfast. There were singers advertised for entertainment in the evenings though we didn't see them as we went out in the evening. As I said we had a hire car for our stay, no onsite car parking (not hotels fault) and we did have to sometimes park quite a distance away from the hotel. It is a built up area so we understood this would be the case. Location is perfect and everything is close by, a great base to stay. Huge selection of bars and restaurants for every taste and budget. I have noticed over the years the resort could do with a bit of a clean up. The hotel and grounds were very clean though. We had a late flight and unfortunately no late check out rooms were available. They did have shower rooms to use, which we did. They were basic but clean. One issue - mine did not have a lock, not sure if they all don’t, I had some random man walk in when I was in the shower! This really needs to be addressed. We’ve stayed in Playa de las Americas many times over the years, some hotels have been better (we’ve paid a lot more money for those hotels though) but some definitely not as good as this hotel. We would and probably will return sometime in the future. Overall we had nothing to complain about and had a fantastic holiday, hence the 5 ⭐️ Have a great holiday ☀️
