Fantastic site, really friendly and helpful staff. I would recommend this site, good value for money. The site is well maintained, cleaners and ground staff are constantly buzzing around keeping areas clean and tidy. We went as a two family group and the lady on reception made sure we got a pitch where we could stay together, which was a really nice touch especially as the site was almost full. If I was going to be really picky the only negative -  traffic noise from the road than runs above the site. 

Very clean campsite. Just the right size with lots to do on site. It is also located in the beautiful place, although the nearby motorway is an annoyance - however, it's not busy or loud enough to intrude too much. We only stayed here for 4 or 5 days before moving on to Noja - a huge Eurocamp site which was good for the kids, but we found ourselves missing the tranquillity and awesome scenery at Arenal. We will be back in 2016.

We were actually aiming for another campsite in Llanes just down the coast from Caravia, but when we did a recki of that site we found it very over-crowded, with very small pitches and little likelihood of having the car anywhere near our pitch.  We then went to a second site further west and that proved to be not that much better.  Thankfully we hadn't arrived in the area tired at the end of a long day, so we persevered and drove even further west aiming for Camping Arenal de Moris just east of Colunga (the campsite staff had confirmed availability).  We realised eventually that the directions we had (in the Alan Rogers guide) were incorrect (from the motorway these send you west towards Colunga) so we did spend a little time trying to find the campsite which was a bit frustrating.  However, as soon as we drove down the pretty lane from Caravia towards the coast and the campsite there was a completely different feel about the place and we felt much more optimistic and relaxed.
We stayed at the campsite for quite a few days in the end (early August).  We were protected from any strong onshore winds and often woke to mist shrouded mountains inland. The nearby beach was very pleasant and it was really nice to be able to just wander down there after a day out sightseeing.  The Camino de Santiago de Compostela runs past the site and we were able to walk a small section of it which was very pleasant and this overlooked the pretty coastline.  
Toilet/shower facilities were of a good standard and well maintained.  Note:  hot water for washing up was only available from one tap, which given the standard of the facilities generally was pretty unimpressive.  The site has a nice swimming pool (attended) and we enjoyed playing on the tennis court several times.  The site had a good sized restaurant bar and a small shop with the basics (the bread was good).  WiFi was only available in the restaurant bar and the service was slow due to the number of people using the bandwidth. Staff in the reception were very pleasant and helpful.  English spoken.
The small town of Colunga nearby was very convenient for the supermarket, bank, post office, pharmacy, etc. 
We thought the site was reasonably quiet.  Although the motorway runs past the campsite at high level on a viaduct slightly inland, we didn't find this a problem.  Some children did stay up quite late into the evening, but they were happy and it was always quiet after 11pm.  The maintenance guy seemed a bit over zealous in his use of the grass mower.  Adjacent campers, who came from a small village in the Basque area commented that they had found the site noisy and had actually bought ear plugs, but we thought that was a bit extreme.
We would definitely recommend the site and its environs and would happily return there.  A very good stopover too if you are travelling further west.

This campsite is very pleasant and well-maintained. Staff were friendly and welcoming at reception with a little English spoken. at reception there is a well-stocked shop with adjoining pool and restaurant - all very modern. Shower and toilet facilities were modern, clean and well maintained but set apart at one edge of the campsite and so not very central. The site is landscaped in to large, flat recces. Motorhome pitches are set apart from touring tents and from the chalet tents - which seemed quite a crowded area . The motorhome pitches are large and a pitch number is allocated on check-in. The pitches are on fairly level grass and are all open. Very few hedges or trees. This made the site a bit featureless and lacking any character. The pitches were also open to the wind. Hence the one night stop-over. A short walk down the road leads to a small beach cove - nothing that special. A 10 euro deposit is required for the gate pass. The site was quiet and peaceful when we visited.
