Stayed 1 night..The room is cozy with kitchenette and private bathroom with shower. The owner is nice, even though they can't speak English. 

On the day of arrival, one of my friend forgot to take her luggage from the airport bus when she alights. we went searching for the pension and told the owner about our situation. He called his son (who can speak English) immediately and communicate with us. We provided him with some information like the bus car plate number and airline that we took. He managed to contact with the airline and bus company, and fortunately they found the luggage. Arrangement was made for us to collect the luggage at one of the nearest airport bus stop to our accommodation. The owner is kind enough to drive us to that bus stop and finally get the luggage bag.  

at the ground level, there is a basket of Jeju oranges (probably planted by the owner in their own garden). The owner told us to take as much as we wanted to eat, so we took some and it was nice.

on the day before leaving, we are allowed to keep our luggage with them and get them back when we are leaving for the airport. 

overall, it was walking distance to teddy bear museum, alive museum and chocolate land, etc. There is also a free shuttle bus departing from the tourist information center (near to our accommodation) at 9am to Hallasan mountain. There are also a lot of restaurants nearby. value for money, good stay, nice owners.

Nice owner and cozy room

The pension is located at the main road but unfortunately airport bus 600 do not stop right in of the pension's bus stand but a little further on the Yeomiji Botanical Garden entrance. The room itself was very spacious and comes with kitchenette. The floor had heating system and you can sleep on the floor like ondol. The location is also easy to go around in jungmun within walking distance or the airport bus 600 which comes by every 15mintues.

Value for Money

Best pension, for 70$ in the center of best attraction of Jungmun, very nice manager, we left our luggage there without to pay some money after we check out, the room it's great , a small kitchen inside,and the balcony, i will recommend this place.

Best pension on jeju-do

The lady who owns this pension is an absolute Hun! She was soooo nice and always smiling. The rooms where so big and we had our own kitchenette. The bathroom was nice and I was very impressed with this place. Plenty of parking and close to the village. 

Great value for money

I spent a long time researching where to stay on Jeju, but as I don't speak any Korean, I couldn't get much further than websites like TripAdvisor and Agoda as many of the hotel websites are in Korean, so I took a bit of a chance not being able to communicate with the pension (like a guesthouse) in advance.  I read so many reviews and there seemed no consensus on where might be a good place to stay, especially outside of Seogwipo and Jeju city.  For me Jeju city was out as I didn't come to an island to stay in a city.  Seogwipo was booking out fast and a lot of the cheaper rooms were gone.  I was searching for a relatively cheap B&B room or private room in a hostel, not for a luxury hotel.  I just picked Greenside and like it a lot so I'll try to write a detailed review as I know there's not a great deal out there in English.

I was not renting a car so for me the criteria were being close to bus transport, and in a quiet spot near a beach.  I think I made a good choice with Greenside Pension.  It is not the best place for meeting people but is perfect for singles wanting a bit of private R&R and couples.  

The beach is a 10 min walk, and it is also a short walk from the Jungmun waterfall and botanic gardens.  In my view these are the main attractions in Jungmun.  Actually what swayed my choice was that I heard you could surf at Jungmun beach and I love to surf.  The surf was definitely not great.  In fact it was so flat you could probably windsurf instead.  Oh well.

Also within walking distance is both the tourist complex and Jungmun centre.  The tourist complex has big hotels, hundreds of tour buses, and things like Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts.  Definitely not what I was in Korea for, so I avoided this area at all costs.  My advice if you feel the same is to walk down past the waterfall to the town instead where you can get "real" Korean food and there is a supermarket too.  While the pension doesn't serve breakfast, there was a little kitchenette in my room.

To get to the pension from the airport you take the 600 "limousine" bus (just a regular bus), and I think the easiest place to tell the driver would be the tourist information centre in Jungmun.  You will pass the pension on your left going down the road (look up a picture in advance) and then the bus will turn right where the tourist info centre is and stop a little further down.  So to get back you can just walk up the road you came and turn left.  If you can't find it just ask at the tourist info.  

There is a carpark so you could drive if you had a car, but the bus stops to the other places on the island are also just outside.  

While the owners don't really speak English (many people don't on Jeju), you can go to the tourist information centre for maps and directions.  I booked through Agoda and when I arrived I just said my name and that was all good.  Since my card was charged already, I didn't have to worry about anything.

During my stay I went to Seogwipo (worth checking out, the waterfalls are lovely), Seongsan Illuchbong & Udo island (a good combination for a day trip), and I also went up Mt Halla, although it was windy and raining on the day I decided to go so I just went the short route which is scenic and still not all that easy.  The bus to the shorter routes up Halla leaves from just outside the pension - to get to the top I think you'd need to change in Seogwipo.  For Seongsan, you catch the bus to Seogwipo (20 mins) and change to another bus, then it takes 1.5 hours.  There is a beautiful black sand beach on your way down the hike - this is worth visiting.  To get to Udo you catch a ferry from the Seongsan-ri port, it takes 15 mins and when you get there you can rent a bike or motorbike and cruise round the island.  It's a rocky island but there are two beach areas.  

If you have come from Seoul and have a metro card, the buses in Jeju will accept the card.  Otherwise you can just pay cash.  If you're comfortable driving, and especially if there are two of you, I'd probably say hire a car if I came again.  That way you could explore the more remote parts of the island and on a rainy day there are plenty of strange museums and things to visit (or you could do what I did and go up Halla anyway).

The pension was probably as quiet as you will get in one of the main towns, the walls were a little thin so in that case you can sometimes hear other guests and the buses on the road but really pretty good.  TV, wifi and aircon in room, light and airy, lovely for the price.
